Whether anyone here believes or not has zero impact on game days.
I hope to be entertained by wins and a Super Bowl championship.

Lol..there is only one Bill Walsh. That's like an impossible bar to hold anyone to. Fire Kyle? I mean and replace him with? I have been super disappointed with him in the SBs..but who else we gunna get? I hope Kyle breaks the losing streak. I hate him in the SBs..but like him during regular season. Wilks was a bad idea though. If KC would just go away, maybe we would have a shot haha.

For what it's worth, if Purdy gets a 6th 🏆, his superbowl ring might have to go on his thumb. (Six big diamons! )

I think Kyle is up there in coaching talent level. Not saying he's Walsh 2.0, but he can be. Bill was an ultimate football teacher and half the NFL was under his coaching tree by the time he was retired. Andy and Kyle are part of the Walsh tree, for what its worth.
I think the difference between Walsh and Kyle is defense. Walsh was a better defensive coach than Kyle is currently, but I think Kyle is catching up. He just needs a guy like Spagnolo/Seifert that is a fantastic defensive coordinator that doesn't aspire to be a head coach - to man that side of the LOS on a long term basis.
Kyle's defensive coaching turnover does affect his defenses in a big way, every time it happens.

Gosh, I was so disappointed with Chase lol. I dnt know how many times I said, "lazy bum!" during the games haha. I was so hyped when he came here. I was about to get a jersey and everything. Glad I held off a bit. Got me all excited only to throw me into to a cold shower. Lol. And good point about Kyle being able to chill out more and focus on offense now that Wilks is gone. I knew he was toast when Kyle said, "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" Oh wait, that was Bell. Same difference lol.

Agree about defense and Walsh. Losing Dco sucked and wish we could have kept him. We definitely had to babysit Wilks! I won't forget Purdy's face on one drive whatever team made on us, he looked concerned and like WTF. Lol maybe Purdy said Wilks had to go and boom, gone lol. He was totally gunna go anyway but lol I feel like whatever Purdy wants, he will get and that is how it should be! Haha.

That's the key. Also the rules have changed to favor the offense so much that it's a tough comparison.
All we can do is judge based on the here and now. These are the coaches to win a SB in the last 20 years.
Andy Reid x 3
Sean McVay
Bruce Arians
Bill Belichick x 5
Doug Pederson
Gary Kubiak
Pete Carroll
John Harbaugh
Tom Coughlin x 2
Mike McCarthy
Sean Payton
Mike Tomlin
Tony Dungy
Bill Cowher
Tom Brady was the QB for 6 of those wins.
Patrick Mahomes was the QB for 3 of those wins
Ben Roethlisberger was the QB for 2 of those wins
Peyton Manning was the QB for 2 of those wins
Eli Manning was the QB for 2 of those wins
Drew Brees was the QB for 1 of those wins
Aaron Rodgers was the QB for 1 of those wins
That is 13 wins in 20 years from guys that are guaranteed 1st ballot HOFers and arguably some of the best to ever play the QB position.
Then you have 4 more SB wins from Ben Roethlisberger and Eli Manning, not exactly trash either. The two outliers are obviously the Nick Foles SB win and my favorite...the Joe Flacco win
There are also several dominant defenses on that list.
So what does that tell you? That in order to win the SB you very likely need a top tier QB or one that's playing like one in the playoffs and a damn good defense.
And the other part is the majority of the HCs on that list known for their offensive playcalling/design needed their defense to come up big to win it all.
Andy Reid - isn't beating us in either game without Chris Jones or Trent McDuffie making key stops
Sean McVay - needed his defense to hold a 3 point lead with Bengals having 2nd and 1 at the Rams 49 yard line
Bruce Arians - we all know he coasted on Tom Brady but his defense held KC to 9 points
Gary Kubiak - Denver won it with their defense, almost outscored the Panthers offense in that game.
You can pretty much go down the list. There are no perfect HCs. They all have flaws in some way. There are some who are very good and find themselves with a QB and/or defenses that are special. Those are the ones who tend to win multiple SBs.
The others? Get into the dance and hope for the best because it's football and you need the ball to bounce your way as much as you need your players to be talented.

It's all "Religion of the Now" analysis.
Like, as if anyone can predict what is going to happen this year.
But based on the now, everyone is some sort of expert in everything.
Just let Kyle keep being Kyle
and sooner or later it will get done.

I don't remember seeing anyone saying they want him fired because he's not Bill Walsh.
I think it's the PR guys making that stuff up.

The day after Kyle wins the Superbowl for the 49ers, there will still be someone on this site calling for him to get fired.

You all are hilarious, and not in a good way.
There are literally franchises who haven't even been in the SB. The Cowboys haven't made the NFCCG in 25+ years. Lions fans were pissing themselves just to win a playoff game. It's not what we want but to pretend this is embarrassing is straight up laughable.

I agree,
I will say even with losing the SB, and the NFCC games last few years, it still felt good to be in the playoffs playing into late January. Hurts at the moment of the loss, but to those aka Raider fans who say "well I rather not even be in the playoffs if you don't win it all" are full of it. Playoff football just hits different.
2021 might be one of my favorite playoffs jus cause we took out Dallas and GB in the same season.
2022 beating Seattle and Dallas in the playoffs.
2023 beating GB, and Detroit.
What are we like 6-0 at home during the playoffs too?
But of course the season the 49ers win it all will be the best. It's coming, I can feel it!
