Dude is lives in denial...

When the reporters grilled him that he's risking Trey's health by running him up the middle too much.. he brushed it off. Then the next week Trey gets injured for the season, and when they asked him after the game why run him so much (hell on 2nd and 8 on the second drive of the game).. Kyle got defensive and said every team does it... common football play... brought up the Bills and Josh Allen... and what happened the very next week?.. The Bills didn't run Josh Allen one play.. were spooked themselves, until they got comfortable again.

I'm just saying, even when it is obvious he f**ks up... he doesn't have it in him to admit it even a bit... to even hint at it. At the Super Bowl when no coach in college has ever recieved in OT.. Kyle wanted to be the first for some stupid idiotic reason.. thought it would be a good idea to give Patrick f**king Mahomes four downs on a final possession, when the Chiefs know what they would need to do. Even after the fact... Kyle still got defensive after the game... said his team studied it hard (but for some reason didn't coach it to the players, like Andy Reid did with his). Kyle never learns his lesson because he has everyone kissing his ass... local media, national media, fans online.... the media protected him showing up drunk to the Super Bowl week. Would that happen to other head coaches? So no.. he will continue to live in denial and continue to have scape goats (like last year being Steve Wilks). Who will it be this season?

The national media is catching on. A good bit of them gave him a decent shake down after last year's debacle, noting that he choked twice in SBs that he should have won, with some extra lather reminding everyone he was the OC behind the Falcons collapse.

the local media, yea….definitely on his nut sack. Besides Grant Cohn, they don't have the balls to ask him any serious questions.

the fan base…yea unfortunately. A bunch of millennials have replaced the diehard fans of the 80s / 90s that demanded excellence (SB or bust). The newbies are happy to "give the team a chance". You read a lot of "well they did their best" and "we'll get them next time, champ". It's kinda disgusting but it is what it is.

Im just hoping Jed (in his uncles's image) takes notes of Kyle's fatal flaws and shows him the door sooner rather than later.

i can't believe a 45 year old is saying such BS.. you didn't know how to wipe your own ass back in the 80/90s let alone be a die hard fan.. you both don't know what the hell is coming out of your own mouths right now.

all these whiny little posts is hilarious

His actual mistake (beyond drafting Trey in the first place) was playing Trey Lance when he clearly wasn't good enough or ready for the position.

It would have served no purpose for him to say this publicly. He clearly 'admitted' to his mistake by signing Darnold to compete and eventually overtake Lance, and then cutting the cord on the Lance experiment altogether.

It was an obvious example of him learning fast and adjusting.

He only did that because he lucked into Purdy. All it took was one team to get him before that very last pick in the draft. Kyle is not smart enough, although some think he is, to foresee Purdy being available with that very last pick.

If Brock was never here, Trey would still be here.

That is not an example of Kyle learning from a mistake.

I understand there are other tough teams in this league. You're not owed a Super Bowl trophy. But my thing is, don't go out of your own f**king way to f**k it up for your players who have worked so hard... played through injury to get you to that Super Bowl/NFC Title game.

Stubbornly not starting/using Raheem Mostert for the first half vs the Chiefs, after he basically carried you to the Super Bowl in the playoffs.. WAS f**kING STUPID, and a selfish thing for Kyle to do.

Having these 10pt leads late in a game, and not being able to get his high powered offense to convert some first downs. Both Chiefs Super Bowls, and the Rams game.

And again the OT decision... that's him going out of his way to make something so simple, complicated. Unnecessary. I trust our Offense...with all our weapons (even if Deebo and Kittle were hobbled) having four downs to work with... to drive all the way down the field. Hell I trust us to get down there with just Jordan Mason constantly moving the ball forward. I trust THAT.. more so than our defense (without Dre.. or hell even with Dre) stopping Mahomes and Andy Reid with four downs to work with. 🤢

You have to be extremely bad at putting obvious evidence together to believe this, especially in hindsight.

Trey was our #3 overall pick.. we invested a lot to get him. Do you think Kyle and John would be stupid enough to start that season with just Sam Darnold and 2023 Brandon Allen? Getting rid of your big investment, who hasn't even played half of a season worth of games in his career? Do all that, and go into that season praying that Sam "I'm seeing ghosts" Darnold, doesn't end up like Sam Darnold?

Hell na.

Not sure why you think Sam Darnold and BA are the only options entering a theoretical offseason without Brock Purdy.

That's of course putting aside the point that we did in fact go with Darnold above Lance in the QB2 role.

It doesn't matter whether there's an established starter or not… no NFL coach is giving away a QB they believe can be good for a 4th round pick to a conference rival they've played two years in a row in the playoffs, and eating a chunk of his salary in the process.

In 2023, who? Jimmy G? No way he would have came back as a starter for the same money he got in 2023. Which other unknown cheap QB would they have trusted going into that 2023 season? That would have kept the fans excitement.

If Trey or Jimmy do not get hurt during that 2022 season, I bet Brock is still a bench warmer for this team. Not only did Kyle luck into getting him as the last pick of the draft, he lucked into playing him as both his "chosen" ones went down with injuries. The rest is all Brock building on his resume and forcing himself into the franchise QB role.

Damn some of you give Kyle so much credit. He just proved to you that he doesn't really have an eye for talent when it comes to QB simply by picking Allen over Dobbs for QB2. Then you look at his track record on Niner QBs since he came to the team, and it's god awful except for the very last pick in the 2022 draft. And the Shanafans will say he was a "genius" and a "quarterback guru" for finding Brock.

Its ludicrous

Two of the best HCs of all time "lucked" into their QBs (Montana/Brady)

holding that s**t against Kyle is lame. Pretending he didn't build a ridiculously good roster overall for the sake of a narrative is dumb.

Ya'll act like he sucks as a HC and that couldn't be more wrong.

Derp. The fact that they didn't go back to Trey after a small sample size from Brock, shows that you're wrong…again.
