This is what I was saying after we lost the SB. Many were saying look at our team, we will be right back there etc.... yeah....last year was a health outlier for us tbh.

It's so incredibly hard to win it all.

I think there's only been 6 teams In the history of the sport that have lost the super bowl and then gone on to win It the following year, and now with all these Injuries piling up, it's fair to say, the odds are stacked against us

Last season did seem like our most realistic shot at winning the super bowl under Kyle.

Six went back to SB after losing it but only three won it the following year.

Lol

I am not watching the Lady Gaga whatever that movie is..after the Dark Knight..Joker has taken a dump. Beetlejuice..have not seen it but Keaton usually does not disappoint.

But back to the subject...
Shanny sucks? Or he is the best coach ever? Lol

we can ALL AGREE that he's halfway to accomplishing what MARV LEVY did in Buffalo !!

If Karv ShannaLevy blows this it'll be a huge failure. Harbaugh>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Kyle

Harbaugh lost a Super Bowl as well.

Six went back to SB after losing it but only three won it the following year.

Let's see...

Cowboys lost SB V, won SB VI
Dolphins lost SB VI, won SB VII
Vikings lost SB VIII, lost SB IX
Broncos lost SB XXI, lost SB XXII
Bills lost SB XXV, lost SB XXVI
Bills lost SB XXVI, lost SB XXVII
Bills lost SB XXVII, lost SB XXVIII
Patriots lost SB LII, won SB LIII

So, 8 losing teams teams returned, 3 won and 5 lost

There are also teams that won but lost the SB the next year:

Cowboys won SB XII, lost SB XIII
Redskins won SB XVII, lost SB XVIII
Packers won SB XXXI, lost SB XXXII
Seahawks won SB XLVIII, lost SB XLIX
Patriots won SB LI, lost SB LII
Chiefs won SB LIV, lost SB LV

6 winning teams returned that all lost

And of course you have the repeat champions:

Packers won SB I, won SB II
Dolphins won SB VII. won SB VII
Steelers won SB IX, won SB X
Steelers won SB XIII, won SB XIV
49ers won SB XXIII, won SB XXIV
Cowboys won SB XXVII, won SB XXVIII
Broncos won SB XXXII, won SB XXXIII
Patriots won SB XXXVIII, won SB XXXIX
Chiefs won SB LVI, won SB LVII

9 repeat winners.

So, of the 114 SB participating teams, 23 have returned the next year, or 20%. So there's a 1 in 5 chance that either the Chiefs or 49ers return to the SB this year. 15 winning teams have returned, and 8 losing teams have returned, so Chiefs are slightly more likely to return, but since only one team has ever returned for a third straight year one could say it's more likely the 49ers return this year than the Chiefs. At least by the numbers.

Obvious conclusion is obvious: It's hard to return regardless of being the previous year's champion or runner up.

Lol

Ha!

But yes - of course there's a chance. Pretty good one, honestly - far more likely than 1/1,000,000.

Sure would be nice to see a fresh game plan from Kyle. He has a different squad on offense. Will he draw up some new plays or will it be more of the same? Maybe this is Kyle's chance to show is genius… that's what I keep hearing about Brock. This is his chance….
We've done it before.

in fact we were a fumble away from a three peat.

We don't have a preseason. It's become pointless except to build up the bottom of the roster. I can't recall how injuries were in the days of playing harder preseason. Call it a chance. I call getting ready for regular season. All gas no brakes starts week 1 now. There should be more half brakes half gas preseason to get ready.

The holdouts and contract disputes don't help either.

The training staff is probably world class. Can't be the issue year after year. Look towards lack of preseason warmup. Seems more logical to me.

Horrific today. From playcalling to benching (lack thereof) decisions.
Personnel decisions are horrific
The NFL knows about Kyle and he's a failure of three Super Bowls. Harbaugh wasn't the problem and Wilks wasn't the problem.
