How can you reminisce about a guy that lost 2 SBs ? It's one of the two reasons why we don't really talk about the Harbaugh era. 1) SB loss. 2) couldn't overcome Seattle.

I guess if making it to the playoffs was your ultimate goal, then yea I guess we'll miss Shanny. But I'd rather look at it as starting fresh with good talent that needs someone that can set them right. Too bad Harbaugh already had his stint here, or he would be a great hire for a team that has key positions filled already…

We used to do more with less. Us vs Jacksonville, Chicago,Tennessee, and LA (the 39-41 loss) in 2017, the games verses Denver and Seattle in 2018.

I just think it's time we slowly started turning over the roster. I think Cowherd said we were old and I didn't want to believe it, but we are. Not just in age, but bodies are breaking down.

Funny thing is, KC HAS turned over their roster. And the other good teams are filled with young guys on rookie deals, much like the 2019 49ers. They are hungry and we are not.

100% agree

They've always been turning over the roster. There's only seven guys left from the 2019 roster, for example: Juice, Kittle, Deebo, Warner, Greenlaw, Bosa, Wishnowsky. People just don't notice this happening year to year.

Who would you replace him with?

Y'all pining for the next Tomsula or Erickson.
I sure hope he coaches forever seeing as bottom of the barrel is the only possible alternative.

MAKE this guy get an OC already!

What role does the OC serve here... what would his responsibilities be considering this team already has a run game coordinator and a pass game specialist?

Game day playcaller

So we need a different playcaller? Is that what the all 22 shows? That it's definitively the playcalling and not the execution?

If we do need one, then who would this playcaller be? Does he already know Kyle's offense or will he be learning it as we go?

Should have been addressed in the offseason rather than mid-season this year. Could have promoted Kubiak instead of losing him to the Saints.

You didn't answer the first question... guessing because you have not watched the all 22. So let's be honest here, you can't say with absolute certainty that play calling is our issue, you are assuming.

And how does one know the Kubiak would be as good if not better than Kyle as a play caller? He's but 3 games into his first stint as play caller.

We played with the lead the entire game and Kyren Williams had more carries than Jordan Mason. If that doesn't scream play calling to you then we can agree to disagree.

When Kyle runs the ball with the lead, yall scream that he takes his foot off the gas and is too conservative.

When Kyle doesn't run enough with the lead, all scream he isn't conservative enough.

Which is it?

The problem isn't what we think. I think Kyle has the same dilemma going through his head during the game. There is no consistency. You go aggressive on 3rd and 4th down to get the first. 3 plays later you decide to kick a FG because it's 4th and 2. Week 1 you're inside the 5 you decide to go for a FG on 4th and one. Week 2 you're in the same spot you decide to go for it instead of tying it.

He doesn't know how to call a game.

It's funny. Eagles win the SB with Doug Peterson. 4 years later they're back in the SB with a different coach and different staff. I thought the rule was that if you fire a good coach, you automatically become a top 5 draft team…

Don't you know that the only option, should Shanny be fired, is either Chip Kelly or Tomsula?

The issue is the talent is old now. We never really reloaded on a new set of guys with real potential. The Lance trade really f**ked the future.

It was funny in the GameDay thread yesterday almost back to back posts was one guy b***hing that we are passing too much and then right after another guy b***hing that we were running too much 😂

If you can't see the problem with getting out rushed when you have the lead for 59 minutes, especially when your D can't stop the other team, I got nothing for you

Can we wait and see like a year or two at least how the young guys develop or nah?

You know this current team is the result of a Shanahan rebuild. You know the team that's considered the one of the most talented rosters in the NFL.

Nah, but feel free to pin your hopes on a coach that will never get the job done.

The "most talented roster in the NFL" line gets me every time.

The D was fine until the 2nd half. We have up 7 points in the first half.

The run game wasn't working as well it usually does. It was either 6-7 yards or 0-1 yards on carries.

Passing attack was working really well tho, if it wasn't for drops, especially some crucial ones, no one would complain about not running enough. You go with what works in a football game, don't force what isn't there. If you can't understand that, I got nothing for you.
