Yes. Andy calling some good plays, oh wait they have players on the injury list also, how do they win with players on the injury list? 😮

Season is early, but a few random thoughts:

- There's been a regression of talent and performance contributing to a sub-par start of the regular season. Not just injuries, but players like C. Ward, Brendel, and Aiyuk/Samuel have regressed. And you can see it in the body language, and that's starts with Kyle Shanahan.

- Roster talent regressed because we took a few gambles in hopes of winning the super bowl and long-term stability at QB, and it didn't pay off. Trey Lance trade up + CMC acquisition combined to be 8 draft picks (inclusive of the Lance selection slot). Purdy saved Kyle and John's job IMO.

- In addition to those trades, we've missed quite a bit on draft selections in recent years. Look at the 2020 draft onwards. Kinlaw, Lance, Sermon, Jackson, Davis-Price, Latu, Gray, A. Thomas are all 1st thru 3rd round picks and we grossly missed on all of them. Instead, we had to augment those misses with Hargrave, Floyd, etc. Older players, pricier contracts, and still lacking productivity

--

That being said, I'm not in the "Fire Shanahan" camp by any means. I think he has another 2 years of runway, especially as he just got an extension over the off-season. But he needs to a better job on acquiring and developing young talent - outside of Purdy, he's living off of trades (CMC, Williams) and clutch picks from 5+ years ago (Warner, Bosa, Kittle, Aiyuk, Samuel, Greenlaw).

With Huf and Banks as upcoming FA and a QB record deal pending, we need to better emulate a team like the Ravens in their talent development.

Keep Banks if possible, Huf can walk.

Not sure NY wants to hear that. BA is a top the receiver, and Kyle is an unblemished coach. Anything short of that is nonsense

BA looked pretty good yesterday. Kyle isn't perfect. He's not some trash HC like some think. There's a gray area full of context and conversation to be had there….ya'll live in black and white. Either great or blows. No in between apparently.

You're on the "he's the best thing since sliced bread" camp, so not exactly a grey area.

Banks is more important than Hufanga. Who doesn't look the same anyway. Plus he was slow to begin with.
Man this chiefs game is a reminder of what good coaching looks like. All three phases in sync

Great breakdown. This says it all.

Meh... At one point Andy Reid was a major choker too. . Luckily for him, he got lucky with meeting an even bigger choker in Shanny.

At some point, you hope the Niners finally realize how important all three phases are - for them, especially their ST getting up to average or above average on a consistent basis.

Its bizarre that some fans recognize great coaching jobs as chokes simply because they fall short of Super Bowl wins. As if the coaches are controlling the human beings on the field with a joystick.

The guy acquired incredible talent at the most important positions and wins multiple championships and some people still can't recognize what the difference was.
