They just long for the days of Chip Kelly, Jim Tomsula, Mike Singletary, Mike Nolan, and Dennis Erickson, when we had truly great coaching.

Some fans are just too hard to please. It would most likely take winning multiple super bowls to change their stance on Kyle.

I've mentioned many things he can change that would make me happier with him. None of them are winning the sb

I mean the only person it appears they'd be happy with is Reid and he ain't going anywhere. Gonna need mahomes with him because apparently all he did before that was "choke"

I do like Ben Johnson, young good play caller. All he's got to show so far is an epic 2nd half meltdown choke job in the NFCC to…Kyle

They honestly don't know what they want and it's much easier to whine. It's like talking to my 3 yr old daughter.

Nolan wasn't that bad. ppl gotta realize we had the worst team in club history in 04. he inherited that. and he didn't have final say on Smith. they drafted the wrong QB. so that was kinda doomed from the jump. he also hired great OCs like Norv, Mike McC. they got poached. the 06 team was sneaky good so he had it kinda turned in 1 year. we were definitely on the right track. 06 was Gore's best year.

How can they be happy with Reid?

every play is pretty much a broken play since their line sucks. Kelce and Mahomes playing backyard ball lol

Ridiculous comment. An owner would need a particularly good reason to fire a head coach half way through a season. It happens occasionally but there needs to be a good reason, which does not exist in Shanahan's case. Bearing in mind where the team was when we picked him up, that should be taken into account. One of the worst teams in the NFL has been transformed into consistently one of the best.

If Shanahan should be fired for losing superbowls, I assume that in your view the various other HC's who can't even get their team to a superbowl should absolutely be sacked. All of them.

If ownership is dumb enough to sack him, the elapsed time before various other teams queue up to offer him a job would be measured in seconds.

Dude he/she had no clue what they're talking about…apparently having losing seasons, not making the playoffs etc is better than LOSING two NFCC and two SBs in 5 years.

The lack of perspective is mind-numbingly painful. The ignorance is at an all-time high, even after beating our division rival. I won't even get into the lack of football understanding that goes into these comments.

FTFY. Context is everything…and it changes the perspective. Ask any average fan would they be ok with losing 2 SBs and 2 championship games or would they rather not get there to begin with. I think you Shanafans would be surprised with the answer…
Even Antonio Pierce can beat Coach Andy Reid. If he goes 0 - 5 against Andy Reid he should be escorted out of the complex immediately. By force if necessary. If you can't beat the best you will never become the best. We can do better. Should he win that's 1 - 4 against Andy Reid. Still garbage but at least showing us it can possibly and rarely be done.

we need a negative nancies thread it can be the opposite of the silver lining thread just find the bad in all things am i right?

Yes just explain away how Harbaugh inherits all these great teams even though they all stunk for years before he got there lol. It's okay if you jumped on board with Jed and the guy that has now sunk Jax to the bottom too. You can admit Harbaugh was the right choice, no need to live in delusion land

Losing games isn't choking. Kyle has big leads and loses them. Thats why he's starting to gain traction as the biggest choker in nfl history

He inherits talented teams that are poorly coached. The one time he inherited a team bereft of talent howd he do? Same as Kyle in 2017.

This is one of the stupidest takes I've ever read.

Firing Shanahan over a regular season loss just because some fans can't get over themselves... Yeah, sure buddy.

There is no Bills fan that looks on the middle 2000s as fondly as the 90s. No Bengal fan looks at the 90s like the 80s. No Lions fan will look at the last 50 years better than last year.
