What Brock does when he yells can can, is in fact an audible. He's legit changing the play. Yes it's to a play that Kyle gave him prior (he gets multiple play calls) there's also hots added into the play which Brock can use based on pre-snap looks.

if he wants a QBs that just calls the offense on his own at the LOS, then you need a manning or Brady. Let me know when one of those guys are available

He sucks as a color commentator but he did have some candid things to say about the 49ers last game which I do like only because I find commentators are to guarded in their opinions.

I went to high school in the town Madden lived in and he would sit on the bench in front of the local market all day each Saturday and talk about football with any just about anyone who asked. Just actually sit there all day, and he was the nicest and kindest guy, very approachable.
