Most of the starters have been out and this team has played virtually an extra season of football counting the playoffs (and that season would be tougher because it is playoff football) I have faith they will get CMC back and some will get healthier. Shanny is ok.

It's still early days in Kyle Shannahan's tenure at the 49ers.
He will be here until the York's sell the franchise.

Kyle must be suffering from serious mental health issues as well.
Baldy's comments below are interesting. We don't know the mental stress that Kyle has been under for various reasons. Kyle hides it well. But late at night, when he is on his own, does he cry in pain? Who is there for Kyle?
Baldinger believes this year has been particularly stressful for Kyle Shanahan for several reasons, including recovering from a Super Bowl loss, dealing with offseason contract uncertainties with star players, and managing multiple injuries. Notably, last season's NFL Offensive Player of the Year, running back Christian McCaffrey, has missed the entire first half of the season due to Achilles tendinitis, and wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk is lost for the season after suffering a torn ACL and MCL.
"I bet this thing has been really tough on him," Baldinger said. "You make the change at defense coordinator (with Nick Sorensen), but the defensive line isn't what it once was, as far as just talent. And now, you want this defense coordinator just to fix things, and you're playing all these rookies in the secondary right now. I think it's been a tough year on him."

some of this he brought on himself. just get a seasoned DC in there. needs to pick good ppl and delegate responsibility or he will burn out.

We don't know what mental health issues Kyle is suffering at any given time.
I am sure he or the franchise wouldn't acknowledge them publicly until Kyle was bent over in the fetal position sucking his thumb.

Further evidence that Kyle isn't right.

If Shanahan is so stressed, maybe he should get an OC in or something. Lessen the workload.

We have something like 13 or 14 coaches on the offensive side including a run game coordinator and a pass game specialist.
OC would be nothing more than just a fancy title on this staff.
Constantly having our staff raided and having to bring in new assistants who have to learn the way we do things and the scheme we run is a far bigger issue that hurts us in the first half of the season.

Just gonna leave this here. The 49ers are 2nd in the NFL in yards per game without last years offensive player of the year.

Gonna leave this here too. 49ers have an uninspiring DC in Nick Sorensen. Go get Jeff Ulbrich!!!
