However I've always felt he was an OC at his core and I wish they coud have kept Harbaugh as HC and hired Kyle as OC. That would have been ideal assuming they could get along. Harbaugh doesn't get the recognition he deserves because he's so quirky and sometimes is hard to wok with. He's the only coach I can think of that has been very successful everywhere he's gone from small college to a brainy school like Stanford. Then to the Niners and back to college. Now he's got the Chargers playing really good even without any great WRs. The guy just seem to get the best out of his players.
1. They run completely different systems, it would of been like when Kyle was in Cleveland.
2. Kyle would of left to be a head coach and i'm 100% sure fans who complained about Harbaugh then and are complaining about Shanahan now, would of been suggesting we should of fired Harbaugh and kept Shanahan. Its what fans do.
You're probably right. That's why I said assuming they could get along. If Harbaugh could have seen that Kyle's offense was more explosive than his. Harbaugh likes a good running game. So does Kyle. They just approach it differently. What Harbaugh really brings is line of scrimmage toughness. That' his signature on all his teams.
When he was at Stanford they gave Chip Kelly and Oregon fits because they often dominated the line of scrimmage. He did it at Michigan against OSU. His teams are always tough and nasty. I don't see that as much in Kyle's teams.
