Given the Yorks track record, yeah, that sounds about right. Never forget that Jed wanted Josh McDaniels before he pulled out of the process and forced Jed to beg Kyle Shanahan take the job. It's a truly inspiring head coach hiring track record when you consider going from Tomsula and Chip Kelly to his top choice of Josh McDaniels, who went 9–16 in 2 seasons with the Raiders. I can only imagine what brilliant hire Jed would've made if he got his way after hiring and firing Josh McDaniels.
Please fire Kyle Shanahan so I can comeback on the webzone next year and rub these nerds' faces in their 2-15 2025 SF 49ers. Please, Jed.
Everyone's a little emotional and pissed after another bad loss to a divisional opponent, each of the three being very winnable games.
Pretty sure most diehard Niners fans aren't saying, "Fire Shanahan." But doesn't mean some of us can't be frustrated with him and the recurring issues of the OL with marginal-to-poor talent at key positions (like C & RT this year), consistently poor ST play, questionable situational clock management at the end of halves & games, etc.
As for Jed, say what you want about him, but the fact remains he did bring in both Shanahan and Lynch. He got that done, and then left the football decisions to them, the guys who know football. The results have spoken for themselves…four NFC Championship games in the past five years, two SB appearances. Just need to now get over the hump.
