I just find this thinking a little reductive. Holmes' toes are the difference between Tomlin being a winner and loser? If Holmes doesn't tap 'em in Tomlin is known as a guy who lost the SB by giving up a huge TD to Fitzgerald when it mattered.

The reality is that there's a lot of really great coaches that simply end up on the wrong side of these games. Kyle may simply be one of them. Or maybe he'll be like Reid who was one of them.... until he wasn't.
