He can't and won't. Too many have told him how fantastic he is. This should be coming from Lynch but as puppet he's stuck.
i think the right two were hired but hierarchy of power should have been John then Kyle. Now it's too late but I bet Jed learns if there is ever another regime change. I do wonder how much John has left. He is a tiny bit more invisible. The work hasn't produced the prize and this year looking to be a fail. He may be close, next year?, to an exit.

I'm seeing a lot of criticisms of Kyle's play-calling and gameplan out on the internets tonight. just throwing that out there

He drinks tons of ALCOHOL. He got DRUNK at the Super Bowl and lost. All down hill ever since.

Kyle LOVES to throw his players under the us when they lose, to "hold them accountable" yet no one holds HIM accountable. All the close losses have been on him. It's a trend. it's not Jimmie G. It's not Purdy, just like it wasn't Matt Ryan in Atlanta or Griffin lll. His system is his system, it's "genius" and it's YOUR fault you can't run my genius plays. That's HIS attitude. That's why he didn't want Brady here. He didn't want him changing his "genius" plays. He is not going to change. He is a glorified OC that needs a true Head Coach to control everything, including him when he's faltering.
