We got Staley and 5-5 now with one of the worst 49ers defense I seen in a decade and chargers got Jim harbs a real head coach and 7-3

He's become super predictable as a play caller.
  • Under center = zone stretch run or bootleg
  • Gun = Drop back pass or the awful sweep to Deebo

He has failed to make any adjustments to his protection scheme.
  • So teams know that if they get him into a 3rd and long, send heavy pressure because Purdy will have no choice but to hit his check down short of the marker.
  • Or he will throw that awful, predictable jailbreak screen to Deebo

He has not adjusted as a game manager
  • Too conservative inside the opponents side of the field
  • Horrible with end of game and half situations

A few more collapses at home coupled with the Boo Birds and Jed will be closer.

One of those staff changes needs to be stripping Shanahan of some of his responsibilities.
