I felt like once again they had back breaking early down penalties that basically ended series because they can't pass the ball.

I love Kyle but he's gotta take a look in the mirror and own up to this slop fest. Can't defend what I watched yesterday.

Agree. We overcame penalties last year, but we can't anymore.

Kyle is running a different offense this year but the changes he's made have made it a way worse version..

He's stuck and we're basically screwed.

There's a former 49ers practice squad QB who recently commented about Kyle's scheme. The way he puts it is that in Kyle's offense they don't change protections they just throw hot. Other teams are not stupid and have figured this out and adapted by bringing pressure in key spots. 3rd and long is one example but there are others. Contrast this with Green Bay who allows Jordan Love to adjust protections at the line. This is relevant because they run a similar version of the Shanahan offense. The fact he is not adjusting is a problem. Teams have figured them out, as evidenced by the fact two of the poorest defenses in the NFL made each yard the 49ers gained excruciating.

Kyle isn't a bad coach. Harbaugh isn't either. Jim had to go and all I'm saying is maybe Kyle has taken this team as far as it'll go. Like Reid, maybe he needs some time to reflect.
it's like he found some success and now he rides his trusted scheme even tho the league is moving way past him

what makes anyone beleive that he is capeable of self reflection and change?

he just needs to watch the Lions to realize how outdated his philosophy has become

This

His ego is too big for this.

WR's are having trouble separating consistently. Even without Aiyuk with the attention, resources, and money that's been poured into that position makes that unacceptable.

The team continues to struggle with untimely penalties that kill drives and momentum.

Def seems to struggle when the game is on the line and they just have to get that one last stop.

It's beyond the mid point of the season and these were the same things that were hampering the team early on. The team has its back firmly against the wall now. Kyle needs to come up with answers for these continued mishaps. They've dropped three division games that should have all been wins and now they got some tough games coming up.

This fire Kyle thread is going to go on forever until they win a SB. I'm not against a coaching change when the results have been terrible but that's not the case here. He's had this ream in the NFC title game 4 of the ast 5 years. Two times in the SB. Okay he lost to the Chiefs. So did everyone else. Making a change because they haven't won a SB is silly unless there's a great young candidate sitting there for the taking. I don't know of one.

We don't want to be like so many teams that change coaches without any real plan. Kyle, Jed and John need to get together in the off season and try to figure out what they need to get over the hump. I assume they do this but I don't know for sure. Firing the coach because they have an off season without having a strong alternative could put this team back where they were before Kyle and John took over.

We are now in that Andy Reid Philly era with Shanny.

We are not. Reid had 2 seasons in a row of not making the playoffs. We arent there yet although this season is trending towards a losing record. No matter how bad Kyle is coaching he has enough equity in the bank to ride out a bad season. Two in a row i think he will be out.

Kyle never has the situations thought through. I was dying when he didn't go for it on 4th and 6. You have a punter off the street that's not going to pin them, you have no Bosa so you're just giving them a longer drive and leaving us with less time for the tying fg. Just no feel for the situation. He's unbelievably bad

he didn't go for it there cuz he didn't trust jimmy in that spot.

Doesn't matter. It was a stupid decision either way. If he can't draw up a 6 yard play to keep the season alive he needs to lose the genius title

To be fair if you knot a homer you can get banned. I got a warning for being right about Lance being a bust lol salty mother f**kers

Mods will put you in timeout faster than yo momma. It's not that serious they are committed like this is a full time job lmao

Not Gore. He's openly allowed to break rules. Evidence is right in front of us.

The Webzone needs unbiased Moderators who don't show favoritism.

It shouldn't matter who you like and who you don't like. It shouldn't matter that I want Shanahan fired or that I supported Kap when he was kneeling.

I have been a fan my whole life. I went to the last Super Bowl.

The Moderators don't get to decide what our opinions are or how we think.

Their job is to uphold the forum rules. If they can't do that then they shouldn't be a moderator.

If I post legit opinions about something 49er related, it's my opinion and I'm allowed to do it.

What isn't allowed is the gluttony of name calling that has become a norm in this thread because supporters of Shanahan can't handle other members not liking the guy.

It's evident and we're lucky Brock hasn't thrown more picks or a pick six throwing off his back foot avoiding a free rusher.

just throw hot, meanwhile we have a bunch of slow tanks at WR who don't separate off the los. chef's kiss what a recipe.

Keeping him because he went to the four NFC title games and two Super Bowls is a lame excuse. The goal is to WIN Super Bowls not get participation trophies! Other than the year Purdy got hurt, the losses were a result of Kyle's decision making. It's one thing if it occurred only once, but he has consistently disappointed and shown that he cannot get it done. The talent on the roster is getting old and brittle, even the young talent is getting hurt, the depth is non-existent, and we have players with insane contracts who do not contribute whether injured or not. It's time to move on and blow up the team, because any talent we have left thats worth building on is gonna either move on to other teams because Kyle would prefer to start his best friends over them, or they will spend their years on the roster wasting away if we continue with Kyle. The roster is only gonna get worse when they give Purdy a contract, you have maybe next year only to go win a Super Bowl assuming Purdy doesnt hold out for a contract.

what if we keep him but we do the following

invest in OL in draft
get rid of Deebo
get a true slot WR
get a real DC with chops
commit to a RB rotation
spread the field more and use the fb less

We have to hope Aiyuk comes back to his old self, or we find an interested trade partner(Very unlikely).

And oftentimes the hot read means Purdy has his back to the free rusher
