I said realistic options. Spags isn't about to leave KC. He's had chances but prefers to be DC. Belichick was a terrible coach at Cleveland and after Brady left. He's 72. Not a good option. Is Ben Johnson really that good or is it because they have the best O line and best group of young offensive weapons in the league. Coordinators are a crapshoot. Throwing out names that have little or no chance of happening isn't realistic.
Kyle has 3 more years on his contract at about $10 million per year. Would they be willing to eat that much? I don't know. Another thing is what happens with Lynch? Would they fire him too since they kind of came as a package.
FWIW Belichick was really good in Cleveland.
One winning season out of 5. He won one playoff game. Would that be acceptable in SF?
It was a rebuild in Cleveland. He got them to 11-5 and a playoff win (Cleveland last till 2020). They were a favorite to get to the Superbowl the next year. Then Art Modell announced the move to Baltimore they lost 6 of 7 games and that was it. He had all the NE guys in Cleveland.
