i don't wonder about that. we got beat.
Due to some ref influence

Will blame the refs.
Won't blame the head coach.

wow

Tell me are you allowed to call two timeouts in a row?

No you're not. I'm not saying refs are infallible, but to me the more concerning stat is:

118th out of 125. That's damning.
Not sure why that doesn't irk some of you

If we have to rely on a single ref call to win a game we have greater issues. How bout we get better on offense and score more points. The ref whining each week is insane.

Who says we have to rely on calls, we're talking about the fact that a back to back timeout was allowed. Aren't you whining all the same coming in here whining about scoring more points?

No, he's right. Blaming the refs for a single call when we could've ended this game multiple times in the second half sounds like whining from a Shanafan. It's a garbage take, quite frankly.

Great stuff. For those too lazy to watch, they play a clip from Kyle where he says he's in the middle between throwing hot versus adjusting protections. Right now though, we don't really work on the latter because it's more time consuming.

Nguyen talks about how our approach has still worked more often than, but now that it's starting to get attacked more often, we might see Kyle add this more to Brock's plate so we can be prepared for every scenario.

To me, it would be one of the next things in his development as a QB that could take this offense to another level.

Awesome stuff, Thanks Hero.

I think Kyle has the right approach of keeping it simple for a qb new to his system, but I also think once he finds a QB he thinks is actually good and capable (Purdy imo) he should evolve/change the offense rapidly to have him adjust protections vs just having a hot route. It is basically what he alluded to in that clip they played.

I think it caught up to Kyle faster than he imagined, and he needs to adapt. To me it's fairly obvious after 10 games that DC's are saying whenever we have this team in a 3rd and most likely passing situation just blitz while also trying to take away the obvious hot route or keeping it in front of the sticks etc. Again, I also think the o-line having better talent would also make up for a lot of this since we wouldn't be in the situation as often.

Side question, I believe Walsh with Montana under the OG west coast offense, he mostly had him adjust protections, correct?

Simply put, once you have a QB you believe and know can do it, it should be him adjusting protections and constantly countering and attacking the defense vs letting them dictate what you do.

No problem and good post. I guess we'll find out how much Shanny truly trusts Brock because I can't imagine all of this hasn't crossed his mind. I also don't think putting a little bit more on Brock's plate is going to overwhelm him. I like Ted's thinking that Shanny doesn't need rehaul the entire philosophy, but he should begin to work on situational adjustments for those critical moments that have been backbreakers for the Niners this year. Start there and add on if it's working well. I wish we could see what they're working on(or not) in practice because it all starts there.

btw isn't it funny that we're all talking about throwing hot too much when there were literally people arguing that the 49ers' offense had no hot routes.

All the folks that want Ben and s**t on Kyle bring up his "choking" in the ATL game SO why stop there? Let's talk about Ben Johnson being up 24-7 at halftime and only scoring 7pts and that was with 3 mins left in the game?

Can't have it both ways

For the record I don't want Ben Johnson.

I want a coach who has ample HC experience.

So who's that?

he'll say Mike McCarthy just watch

Single call, how about multiple calls that just happen when we convert a 3rd down

How about not putting ourselves in positions where we needs to decide the game ?
