Outside of his rookie year, Kyle has been a perennial playoff contender every time his team wasn't crazy injured.
Outside of that, we've only sucked when we've been decimated by injury: 2018 (Jimmy to IR), 2020 (16 players on IR), and this year (19 players on IR/PUP or missed 3+ games). I mean let's be honest.. I don't care how smart or how good you are, you aren't overcoming an injury list this massive. The more I think about this, the more I realize we are probably doing way better than the odds would say we should be.

I think you guys are reading your own fantasies into the situation. Kyle wants to be a HC for another 20+ years. He decided that a long, long time ago. He's not gonna retire in his mid-40s.
He'll have an extra month to reflect upon this past season this offseason. Knowing Kyle he won't want to stand pat. Shanahan has always made bold moves to overcome what he saw as flaws and inefficiencies. Expect some huge personnel and staff overhauls this offseason.
One could argue you're doing the same thing.

Absolutely should have never went after Hargrave he's trash and always has been. The Trey Lance knee jerk covid pick was another blunder that basically left us devoid of quality picks for years. The third round Moody pick was bizarre, I thought it was a joke at first lol. 99% of kickers don't even get drafted. It used to be 100% until Kyle drafted him. Was he high on meth at the time?

"Jumping up and down on the table" is quite the exaggeration. He was really intrigued by the guy and decided to take a chance. It didn't work out. Oh well. Happens everyday year for every team in every draft.

Michael Silver was right when he termed this summer, "bad vibe summer." The heartbreaking SB defeat, the holdouts, the injuries, it all lead to a lost season.
Fact is, Kyle led this team to a SB in year 3, and then rebounded from a lost season in 2021. I fully believe this team needs a breather and Kyle and the team will be back to their usual dominant selves next season.
The injuries especially, like 2020, were too much to overcome. we will be back.

Dont demand a scheme, just find a good coach who will get the most out of our talent on defense. Something to that effect. I think the OL guy sucks. I keep coming back to this point week after week, we do not dominate the trenches at all anymore. It all starts from there, so they need to reinvest in the trenches as a priority. They have plenty of players to build around. While it's disheartening to see the drop off, they can turn it around, but it is asking for a lot of things to work out and fall into place rather quickly.

This is a rational post that makes a lot of sense.
They do need to get way better in the trenches on both sides of the ball. I'd argue that on offense, their OL has never dominated the trenches under Shanahan. I remember well the glory days when the Niners absolutely would dominate the trenches on both sides of the ball. Winning in the trenches is so important towards winning championships.
Hopefully, it will be figured out you can't just continue to roll out guys like Brendel & McKivitz and expect the offense to function consistently effective like this teams wants, especially against more talented teams/more talented D-linemen. And, you would think this team with a talented young QB like Purdy would absolutely make sure to find or acquire strong OL talent (especially in the middle - thankfully they found Puni) to protect him as a passer & help him be more effective overall with a better balanced attack with stronger run blocking.
Look how the Lions built up their OL in front of Goff…the Chiefs in front of Mahomes…the Packers in front of Love…the Eagles in front of Hurts, etc.
