"Jumping up and down on the table" is quite the exaggeration. He was really intrigued by the guy and decided to take a chance. It didn't work out. Oh well. Happens everyday year for every team in every draft.

Has there been guys he's liked that they decided to draft? Yes. Is that true of every HC in the history of the NFL? Pretty much.
You guys don't give a damn when he drafts a guy he really likes and it works out (Kittle, Warner) because that doesn't fit your continually miserable narrative.
Even in the fabled 1986 draft there were missed picks (LB Pat Miller in round 5/#131. Joe Williams was round 4/#121 in 2017).
