I agree on "refuses to rotate running backs" part, but attacking mismatches is what he has been known for especially when he motions his offense. Maybe he's been doing it a lot less this season or maybe it's his QB's not seeing the field, it could be a lot of reasons. As for no answers for the blitz, Shanahan and Purdy has been one of the best against the blitz the past two seasons.

FIFY

Marv Levy lost four and they put him in the Hall of Fame. Some people love losing.

Because winning and getting to four Super Bowls are easy in the NFL.

I get the motion and how it attacks some mismatches. When other teams spot a mismatch against the 49ers it just looks different. In the super bowl when Greenlaw went down, Kansas City running backs were in the flats the rest of the game. When the 49ers signed that one DB and they left him on a island a few years ago and was attacked relentlessly. As far as the blitz they cannot seem to block it at all this year.

He doesn't attack mismatches, has no answer for blitzes, and refuses to rotate running backs. It also doesn't feel like he holds these dudes accountable, which can explain all the mental lapses. The next defensive coordinator needs to be a strong personality, if Kyle just only wants to stare at his clip board all game.

I'm sure Kyle will do a lot of film analysis and soul searching after the season. We'll probably see some coaching changes and player changes. This team as it now is can't compete. Even if they get everyone back healthy next season they need to start shedding some older players and salary. Younger teams are now the power so it's up to the 49ers to adapt.

Kyle should try to come up with some new wrinkles for the offense since it's now common in the league and teams know how to defend it. He loves a strong running game but the O line isn't good enough to dominate the line of scrimmage. If Williams retires they're only going to get worse. The draft isn't expected to be a strong one so free agency may be a big factor. Lot's of work to do in the off season.

That and how can these guys want coaches who haven't done or even get close to a SB? Lol

People who want Ben Johnson act like his two RB's and WR's are coming with him. LOL

what did kyle do after the sb 58 loss?

hire sorenson, get staley in the bldg, do nothing on OL, do nothing on backup QB except for Dobbs who is so bad, he's QB3 and on it goes. major issue with CMC we do nothing to add a FA who can catch out of the backfield. so there was a lot of work to do last offseason and we didn't do it.

Along with his O line. I guarantee that if SF had that line this team would be winning more. Certainly would have a better running game.

Especially both times we were the better team..
i wonder all this talk here, what if we traded kyle. he has value so maybe we flip him for 2 ones and we control his destination. just a thought. maybe trade him to cleveland, for example
