i said all year, that shanny was mismanaging wilks. he was treating wilks like a child, with this ridiculous booth relocation nonsense and chiding him in front of the media on his calls. that was unprofessional. i am sure shanny wouldn't appreciate jed airing his frustrations to media about kyle. meanwhile, the handcuffs were on wilks. he could never run his stuff, which i was interested to see the blitz packages. so you neuter your DC one year, and hire a yes man the next and the results speak for themselves. we went downhill fast. its symptomatic of a guy who wants too much control over every single lil aspect of his operation. so the whole team suffers cuz he can't delegate.

It's called Negotiate. Hand him a blank check and almost as much power as Shanahan if that's what it would've taken, even if it's just for a year. In order to become a champion, you need to make bold moves. 49ers under the Yorks are incapable of doing this

Yeah, that's one way to definitely lose a locker room. How quickly some forget the Harbaugh lame duck year. No one wanted to touch the org after that. Same would happen again.

kyle needs surround himself with true and proven coaches like Reid did. Someone he can bounce ideas with and can check his offensive game plans and poke holes.

i wasn't big on our chances if you check the PYMWYMI thread, i apparently was more negative than anyone on the board on our chances this year, in terms of official prediction. now i do get sucked in each week thinking that our key guys and shanny will get down to business on game day and it didn't happen. i thought we'd have a much better showing yesterday.

He saw the truth. Whereas some of you guys continue to blame everything else but…

yesterday was one game. but we've been seeing more of the same all season. lucky for us we survived TB, Dallas, and Sea game 1 in the final moments or this could easily be a 2-9 or 3-8 team. The only win we've had convincingly is vs NYJ and even that wasn't a "good time"…

can't keep blaming players, refs, and weather on everything. At some point the head coach has to be held accountable.

We've been having the same issues all year other than the Jets game. And when folks started to accept the reality of the situation you and others called them quitters because we have a "SB caliber" team when many saw the contrary. Some changes need to be made for sure but your going to the other extreme now.

Also, my prediction was probably similar to yours. I think I had them at 11 wins. (Thought that would be good enough for the division) I knew it was going to be a tough year after the heartbreaking SB and tough schedule. I expected a bumpy season but thought they would turn it on when we got closer to playoffs.

ive been calling out these issues since the chiefs game. I knew this season was toast. Best case scenario was probably sneaking into the playoffs due to weak division but not expecting much after that.

I even made a thread of trading some pieces away like C. Ward and trying to build for next year. Many called me quitter etc etc Faithful was one of them. I knew this team had some deep problems that wouldn't get fixed this season.

But, saying all that. I don't think firing Kyle is the way to go. No coach is going to want to come in to follow up what Kyles done. Same thing happened when Harbs got fired. The best we can hope for is Kyle makes some deep changes, like finally bringing in a real established DC. We might have got lucky with up and coming coaches like McDaniel, Saleh, Ryan's, but that seems to ran its course.
