Yes, Kyle's most recent DC picks haven't worked out, but the first two he knocked out of the park. If you're gonna call out the negative, you also must acknowledge the positive, and vice versa. Otherwise, you have zero credibility and are easily label a biased fool.
Deebo losing his cool is not a Kyle issue. If that were true, then Mike MacDonald is responsible for his guys fighting on the sideline too.
I like Kyle because he's creative, a players coach that guys respect, he's a coach guys literally say they want to come play for, he demands the best from guys, and often gets more even with less, putting guys in position to succeed more often that not. He has established a hard working culture of high character players in the locker room as well, and that starts from the top.
On the negative side, there are some flaws, some showing up more this year. The protection scheme is getting exposed and we'll have to see if he adjusts going into next year. I don't think he's the best at challenges, and I think he carries scars from being burned on creative run calls when we needed a play in the past, and maybe felt he got too cute on those plays, so now he seems to never try it and we get stuffed too much when we need a yard or two. I also think he might get overly flustered when things are going well, and I think he puts too much on offensive rookies' plate, making it hard for them to get playing time.
Still.. To me, it's like with Jim Harbaugh, the positives with Kyle outweigh the negative by a lot IMO.
