49ers Head Coach Kyle Shanahan Thread

Has Kyle been perfect? No, and I have had my frustrations but firing him.. really? That is the answer? Half our f**king team is injured and everything is this dude's fault? I wouldn't think I would be in Kyle's corner lol..he has had some f**k ups. Sorensen, bad idea..special teams..disaster..play calling..sometimes a bit meh. time clock..lol..Superbowls..ugh.

But the overall record..I mean, it cannot be refuted. It just can't. Firing him, I don't think ppl are thinking clearly on this or even logically.

Ben Johnson, I am cool with him being assistant HC or assistant OC and keep Kyle. But just to dump Kyle ..I know it's frustrating guys but one cool off season coming off a SB appearance and our players have been shot to hell, or just literally shot?

Do I think Brock has bailed out Kyle a few times? Yes, I do. But overall, the match seemed to be made in heaven. But I guess we need to fire both of them lol. Let's get Danny f**king Jones...I mean, you gotta be f**king kidding me lol. Let's get Danny, let's somehow get Mike McCarthy while we are at it too, so we can really take the world by storm.

Get a grip people..be patient..we will be back..we aren't the f**king Cowboys, we don't have Trevor f**king Lawrence..we don't have our thumb up our ass. This is the 49ers..we will be back.

Somebody get Montana a mega-phone!
It would be a huge mistake to let Kyle get away. I was just listening to Krueger and he suggested that if Kyle and SF parted ways, he could see the next coach being Doug Pederson.....yikes. sometimes it takes looking at those alternate universes to be very thankful for what you have.
As agitated as I get after heartbreaking losses.

The truth is that Kyle isn't the spouse you breakup with. He's the spouse you give time to figure out their s**t and give them pushback on their bull.

He may need to revoke some of his control on team building and play calling. We definitely need a new Special teams coach cause goddamnit.

But realistically, if his flaws are macro level like "stick to the run game" "don't treat CMC as a bell cow and ignore Mason." That just means we'll be fine. All this will get figured out with tough love from the org.

And watching football has taught me just how much of a difference a single good pick can make. Or even a single draft class.

2019 gave us two of our best defenders in Bosa and Dre.

Kittle and Purdy weren't top picks.

Even with FA; we saw just how much of a difference adding Williams made.

The OL issue could realistically get solved in a single solid offseason with 2-3 top guys coming in through the draft and FA.

I was on my " Kyle" is a s**t coach bandwagon; talking to a Bears fan who basically went "fine fire him. We'd happily take him"

Truth is that there's really no better options out there and most of the league would give up anything to have Kyle run their team right now.

Just give him an Offensive Co-Ordinator to help with those plays in the back end f the 4th quarter.
Doug Pederson > Shana_LOSER

He would win the Super Bowl very quickly upon becoming coach. He will show you how not to CHOKE. He can get it done.

You should never take Krueger seriously.
Listen, I understand if you are hurt and sick of watching an inconsistent team find ways to lose.

Take a break from all sports media. Get away from football. Give yourself a 72 hour cool down if the team loses. You'll come back a few days later in a much better place. After the superbowl I took months off. Came back in a much better spirit.

Season hasn't gone the way we want, and it sucks, but Kyle has to be given some time to turn things around.

I get some people don't like the guy but he's been covering the team for a long time, at the facility and in the locker room almost everyday, actually talking to the players we discuss, and he was a former scout.
Not perfect, but no offense, I listen to his perspective on the team over yours

Pederson's team is 2-9
Half the damn head coaches in the league worked under Kyle at one point, they're all running the same systems! Why would we go out and get lesser version of what we already have??? Makes no sense.

I've been out of the country for 3 weeks... missed the past 3 games... but have watched extended highlights these past few days..and Jonny's videos.

I don't feel better.

I do feel encouraged with Purdy though... his stats don't show it I believe, but his ability to make a play when s**t looks bad is a special QB trait. That pass to CMC (against the Bucs?).. where he lofted it up in the air for Christian (and his amazing awareness) to find and make a big play.

I'm just about ready to see what Purdy can do with a different playcaller/head coach. I hope he is ok.

Non taken in the slightest,I know I'm just another idiot on the internet.

I always found Krueger entertaining but never insightful in the least.
I'm not going to lie, when it comes to Kyle, the "bleeding hearts" of modern western society have gone overboard in their efforts to alleviate any sense of 'guilt' if they cut someone who doesn't deserve it. It is just another form of "cancel culture". It is terrible.

The lovies on this site have convinced themselves everyone else must feel for things they have convinced themselves we ought to be feeling guilty for, so we are now 'bombarded' with messaging in advertising opinions and in rationalising the sacking of Kyle that is blatantly agenda pushing.

Tell me? Who out there is better than Kyle? He invented most of the stuff that each team is running with these days.

Some people forget what the years from 2002-2017 minus Harbaugh were like. When you have a top 10 coach which Kyle for sure is, you don't let them go anywhere. He'll have to make adjustments, but any long tenured coach does that.

Kyle is the Bill Walsh of his era. Granted, Without the Superbowl rings.

I feel like Kyle should do some shrooms/LSD and rework his mind. Re wire his brains and do things differently

The only reason Andy Reid isn't being yelled about is their magically bullcrap record. The Cheifs have played little better just have had the best luck of any Super Bowl winner ever. Kyle is responsible for some of it but the idea a new HC will have changed anything except maybe drafting another OL at the expense of our skilled positions that have been eaten alive by injuries. People need to get over themselves and stop believing winning a Super Bowl is just a few good decisions away when we've been hands down the best of the best twice and still got manhandled by the randomness of reality.

The randomness of reality gets you every time. Everyone and I mean everyone is naked in front of it.
Ronnie, I'm too tired to go over all the little things that piss me off about Kyle. With us not taking advantage of our opportunities. With Kyle going out of his way to make s**t worse/harder for the team.

I don't see Kyle as the Bill Walsh of this generation. Sure he has many head coaches from his tree... but as a head coach? No. Who was it that Bill learned from before coming to the 9ers? Paul Brown? Maybe Kyle can be considered Paul Brown. Someone else from Kyle's tree might be Bill Walsh. 😕

I like Kreuger. He's not a tool like Lombardi. And you're right. He's been following the team for a long time. I listened to his YouTube Monday morning analysis. He's getting tired of Kyle's schtick. He was pissed that Mason was abandoned again vs GB. And that Kyle didn't change up the game plan one bit.

Im glad to see that even some real folk are starting to see Kyle for the fraud he is. Of course, the Shanafans will go as far as attacking their own mothers if they had to just to protect boy wonder
