That ain't the case this year. The defensive line is thin and the offense is overrated aside from Kittle and Jennings. Best roster in football lol don't make me laugh.
I'm too lazy, but I bet if you added up every team's All Pros and Pro Bowlers, this roster would be near or at the top. What metric would you use?

You're not lazy, others are.
also, Our DL isn't thin, they're just not built to keep teams scoreless. We need the offense to step up, which is a tall task.
Daniel Jones getting a job on the vikings just cemented in my head that Kyle would have offers pouring in before before he even left the building of he got fired. I am not a doomer but I knew the season was a wash when we lost to the cardinals and the rams...like extremely winnable games. The last 2 years, whenever we go into the bye, I'm always under the impression that we're gonna come out stronger but I didn't get that impression, even when we were playing the bucs. I really hope Saleh comes back next season, but I feel like we've regressed.

Regressed due to injuries
look how a far more healthy Miami team is doing against packers at halftime
That's a gripe loads of fans (including myself have with Shanahan) he's banged the table for his guys to get new deals
CMC may have played at mvp like level last season, but they knew in training camp he was gonna be out for a while yet paid him
Trent held them hostage because of their neglect of the O-Line which is trash outside of him and Puni
Aiyuk was a luxury that should've never been paid and Deebo should've been traded the moment he tried to blackmail the front office back in 2022
Outside of Trent the problem with the other three is Kyle banged the table for them to get paid.
Deebo should have a real look at himself this offseason. Does Deebo want to be a Diva or a Football player? and CMC should be given the option to redo his deal aka take a pay cut if he won't then the niners have to make a tough choice. Mason runs just about as well as CMC for a fraction of the price.
John and Jed (who needs to put his foot down) need to also overrule Kyle and make the O-Line and D-Line the main priority this offseason
Kyle's got enough weapons that he can work with, and he's got his QB who can run his system perfectly.

WTF!!! You're a Fudge Packer fan!!! GTFO!!! I didn't even bother reading your post!!
Der, I am a long term Niner fan but are you watching the Packers game v Miami and the way they played against us last week?!!?!?
How many of you people come on this site after doing massive amounts of Weed, Xanax and a gallon of Burbon. Seriously?!?!?
How many of you people passed middle school basic English?!?!?
Blowing your wad is real. The momentary weakness and vulnerability following the act leaves us exposed while the post-nut clarity reveals that the team is too emotionally and physically beat up, too old, and too expensive (looking at you, BA). This season feels lost but We've been a contender and playoff team almost every year Kyle and John have been here (obviously taking over a rough bunch). Great dynasties maintain a system and organizational structure to ensure continuity.
Two things can be true at the same time: (1) Shanahan has proven he's an offensive genius and should have job security for the foreseeable future; and (2) he has not called a good season. Even when healthy, this team has not looked good, especially in the redzone and that's partly Shanahan.
I think last year's Super bowl run took a toll on the team. Unfortunately, IMO I don't think the issues this season can be fixed this season. The entire team needs a break mentally and physically. Shanny needs time to fix things.
A third defensive coordinator in three years seems inevitable. Changes to the team's stale offensive and defensive schemes (it's not a Cover-3 league anymore, Kyle) are necessary. And, boy, do the Niners ever need to nail this upcoming offseason in both free agency and the draft, as a complete rebuild of the offensive and defensive lines is necessary
The off-season drama didn't help, and we had a ton of injuries with people going in and out. I do think Kyle needs a better system in place to help the next man up be better in injury situations. He also needs an Offensive Co-ordinator to take over play calling. It seems like whenever any star player is out, we play like crap. I see plenty of teams where, even without some of their star players, they can still play well.

And then they got blown out
They were blown out by halftime is what I meant. It took 3rd stringers and the refs for GB to beat us

Chase Daniel on reports of Kyle Shanahan being on the "hot seat":
"It's absolutely insane. First of all, put your name behind who started the rumor because you do not know football, and I don't like saying that a lot. He is easily one of the top 2 or 3 coaches… IF you were to… pic.twitter.com/4pCgr9sHu2
Kyle needs to take back the locker room. Whip Deebo back into shape. Why would Kyle defend Deebo after he slapped another player? Why didn't Kyle visit Pearsall in the hospital the day he was shot? was it maybe being late to his party going to be that bad?

We live in a time of engagement and rage baiting for website clicks really does pull in the money.
All you have is name throwing. You can't counter my argument or go toe to toe with me on ideas.
Niners have some of the most delusional, self-important biatch like fans, beat reporters, and "affiliated content creators" in the whole of professional sports. Some of you guys are genuine p***ys. Grow an f-ing backbone.
The doomers literally have no idea how incredibly spoiled they are. Have we come up short in the big dance? Sure. But consider for a moment how many teams would absolutely LOVE a chance to contend for 5 years straight. The players will be banged up. The scheme will show its age. Trust in the FO that has proved its competence, take the gap season so these dudes can get healthy, and get on with life lol
The incessant biatching about Shanahan is insane. As if he needs to flagellate himself for fans and professional social media posters who still haven't figured out how audibles work.
Shanahan approached Belichick after 28-3. He tried to hire Belichick and Spags after this last Super Bowl. The idea that he has an aversion to having another authority in the building is ridiculous.
They've lost at least 4 play-designers / coordinators in maybe 6 years between Kubiak, McDaniel, Matt LaFleur, and Slowik.
IMO the issue is Shanahan is probably spread too thin as a result of this is being the absolute trough for the 49ers' assistant coaching talent. Everyone left for bigger seats, but some are finally at risk of being, or have been, released and the 49ers can make a play to get some of them back (eg Saleh, Slowik).
Also, Shannahan needs an offensive co-ordinator to help him call plays so he can concentrate on other things.
This year will probably end f**king sucking because of injuries and Shanahan being burnt out but they'll likely reevaluate and reload. If they don't make a long post-season run, they will actually have a shot at a good DC hire given the musical chairs will not have all been taken already like last year.
