This season after a Super Bowl, on a team riddled with injuries and guys shuffling in and out of the lineup, we are having a down year. You could even say Kyle isn't performing his best this year. It would be absolutely asinine to use this one donown year as justification whatsoever to fire Kyle. The players still repeatedly say this is a guy they want to play for. He hasn't lost the team whatsoever. They know the deal. They know he can only do so much given the circumstances.
I'll go so far as to say, I bet any if the anti Shanahan people said Kyle should be fired to the face of any current player on the team, I'd 100% expect the player would look at them like they're a total fool..
Yeah, and then go home and say the same thing to his wife.
I've always been a Kyle fan too, but then we didn't know he is absolutely Awful at all things beyond play design. And now he's not even attracting quality staff to shore up other areas. He could Never hold on to a lead, nor come from behind, but we all just wrote it off to a fluke. Now it's been nine years doing that counting his last year in Atlanta. When are We going to wise up?

The Donner Party was a group of pioneers moving to California in a wagon train, not soldiers. If the Niners start losing so badly in Buffalo that they need to resort to eating Buffalo Bills players to survive, that'd be more like the Donner Party.

That might be a good game plan...

Jim Harbaugh went to SB and lost, his last year he went 8-8 and got fired. After that it went south up until Kyle came in. 49ers were stuck with chip Kelly and Ron Jeremy (Jim Tomsula). I agree, Kyle should stay and fix the issues.
I'm an OG 21%er but yeah we don't fire Kyle unless there is something better available which is not an easy task. That doesn't change that he's a massive choker in the most pivotal moments and should be called our for it. Would I say it to his face? If it was invited but I don't just go around telling people their problems just to do it.

Lets take it easy on tomsula. Kyle may end up with the same amount of wins as he did…

I embrace being a disgrace and a realist.
you Shanna-fans……..are very funny, and in the minority now.
Your boy is being seen for the choke he's always been.
Lol you mad!!!
Seriously though, I blame Shanahan for a lot of things. But I won't blame him for the obvious player mistakes, no HC is perfect and every player makes mistakes. But your haterade that you drink everyday isn't healthy.
I do believe you said:
"don't see me f**kin crying a little f**kin kid to fire Shanahan."
Practice what you preach
Why cause I swear, no. You're just reading my post like a women would.
and you're a Sexist?
Someone is clearly entitled.

I'd take Shanny in a heartbeat over Jimmy T but both guys started their careers 6-11 with equally terrible rosters.

Kyle doesn't Have any responsibilities other than coaching. According to the team, John Lynch has final control over the 90, meaning he acquires the players, whether by draft, free agency, or trade. Kyle makes the cut downs to the 53. They are supposed to consult with each other. And of course, Kyle has control over his coaching staff. Now I understand he's tried to influence John on draft picks in the past, but I wish he wouldn't because I don't think he's got that talent, and that's not his responsibility.
What would you take away from him?
Your whole argument is based on what the team says he does.
If you look at actions and not empty words, this team is ran by Kyle. To the point of recording every conversation that happens between position and assistant coaches in other rooms. Kyle - not Jed - has hired John. The only reason John Lynch has a GM job is because Kyle wanted him.
"Now I understand he's tried to influence John on draft picks in the past"
You start with a questionable premise and then just distort it further. When Kyle bangs the table for Joe Williams as a hunch even though he wasnt on the draft board, its not just "influence". And yet we never hear of the other way around. Who are the players that Kyle didnt want but John banged the table for ?
What are some instances of someone actually overruling Kyle, that you can find ? Some actual, concrete things ?
Im sorry but this whole Lynch controlling the roster thing is just inability to read between the lines. Its like believing uncle Jun ran the operations when it was Tony all the way. Lynch is a de jure boss, a PR figurehead and a human relations guy.
Judging Lynch on the basis of Kyle wanting him eight years ago is the same as judging any player now on the basis of coming out for the draft after he's played in the league for eight years. Irrelevant. I'm telling you what the team Said the responsibilities are. If that's not how it is, the burden of proof is on you. Nobody Ever overruled Kyle on a draft pick, as he Never had the original power. Early on, Lynch made the statement that he'd never deny Kyle what he needed to run his offense, and I do believe he acquiesced a number of times, sometimes even adding players back on his list that he had not included them At All, because of dedication issues, and that doesn't turn out well. Overall, John leans more to football players, and Kyle traits, and imo John has the better feel for what will get you wins. John has always respected Kyle's offense, and bends to accommodate it. Kyle wants to spend too much to keep his favorite players. Kyle has been criticized by players for playing favorites over those playing the best. That's not how Lynch and most players roll.
Tony did say He ran things. Jed said Lynch did. Kyle had Never said that. I wouldn't buck it.

Kyle needs a tough look in the mirror and some pushback on his roster control but firing him would be moronic and probably even worse than firing Harbaugh.

I do think we need to rethink how we are building this team though. Need to stop being so top heavy and have more depth, which will help us handle short injuries. Stop throwing away early picks on RBs / kickers and instead draft high value positions. Actually invest in the OL so our franchise QB isn't running for his life. And when we have depth (RB), actually rotate players, which will help everybody.

I think we win tonight. Just when you think this team is dead, they always rise to the occasion.
I trust Shanahan in this environment for this game.

I think that after so many "close but no cigar" seasons, our fans are experiencing chronic blue balls, and it's affecting their emotions.
Kyle's not perfect. But anyone that finds issues with Kyle would find issues with any HC because none of them are perfect either.

If I said that he has a mix of good and ok seasons going forward, but never wins the Super Bowl, how long are you comfortable letting this fraud lead the team? Indefinitely?
