It doesn't matter what fans even think, since Jed is very much in support of Kyle as our HC.
Remember, Jed didn't fire Harbaugh due to lack of success or outside noise from fans. It was a personality clash and ego issue. Jed doesn't have that issue with Kyle.
Jed talking about Kyle this offseason:
"I love Kyle. I think Kyle, it would be hard for me to say that I enjoy working with anybody more than I enjoy working with Kyle. I think Kyle's a phenomenal coach. I think he's done a phenomenal job with our club."
"I don't really care what the outside perception is. It is very difficult to make the playoffs. It's very difficult to get to a championship game. It's very difficult to win a championship game. It's more difficult to get to this game. And I think Kyle's results more than speak for themselves."
Kyle's seat isn't hot. But it may not be the solid block of ice it used to be, where his balls were basically frozen to his seat with no way of ever standing up and yeah, I agree I took this analogy too far.
THE BALLS ARE SOLIDLY FROZEN TO THE ICE.
