right, parents and a football team are equal right ?

With many fans, their team is set in stone for life and no way changing it. Many fans have one team but many wives in their lives.

With many fans, they watch their teams every snap win or lose.

So....like I was saying "if you dont like it then leave" is the most rudimentary, trite, banal, useless "argument" anyone can do in response to criticism or negative feedback.

This "argument" or rather a fallacy, is very common. For example people use it when something in this country gets criticized.... "if you dont like it then leave". It's cheap and avoids any criticism or accountability.

Blind homerism is what we do here lol. Kyle could get blown out by 50 for weeks and people would still say "who will we get to be better" as if he's the only coach in the world. Dude is predictable and the league has figured him out. Like a poster said earlier, if he couldn't win with last years roster at peak health then he never will
except he hasn't come close to any of that type of losing and the peak team had some pretty bad injuries in the SB and bad ST turnovers.

it's pretty simple if you watch the game.

There will always be an excuse for Kyle.
Fire Kyle Shanahan.

Brock Purdy is not elite. Josh Allen is pulling his pants down.

I suppose im in this boat now as well

Kyle would be an elite HC if he had an elite quaterback. Jimmy G and Brock Purdy just don't cut it.

Andrew Reid only starting winning Superbowls because of Patrick Mahomes.

lol Kyle shouldn't be fired. He should grow.

Im not advocating for firing Kyle, but what would be some criteria for him "growing" and how would you measure whether or not hes failed or not at growing ?
What timeframe are you giving him ?

Because this season to me indicates no growth from previous season at all. It's same mistakes. Same exact scenarios. Repeating the same thing and expecting a different result is insanity. He gets schooled by the same defensive coaches, has league-worst ST and doesnt fire the coordinator, cannot for his life adapt/adjust to situational football, cannot close games, wants to keep the same defensive mentality that is clearly outdated/not useful for this personnel. The list goes on and on.

I think expecting Kyle to grow at this point would be nothing short of a miracle. I can hope and pray, but realistically do you think he CAN grow ? I havent seen him being able to grow yet and learn from his own mistakes (never mind learning from others' mistakes, thats beyond Kyle's scope and ability at this point imo)

If this team quit on KS, then why is Fred playing with a broken bone in his ankle? He could have shut it down already.

Why did Mooney come back? Why is BPD working to get back?

CMC was running hard tonight before the injury.... guess he also didn't get that memo.

I'm going to need to see another full season of increasingly lackluster playcalling, with us not making the play offs, before I'm going to board the Fire Kyle train. I'm not ready to make the plunge into being bottomfeeders for another half-decade plus, only if it looks certain that we're going to stay that way with Kyle will I be ok with letting him go, as it stands it will most likely turn out that way if we let him go right now.

If Kyle goes that means we blow it all up.

But if CMC is done for life with that injury, and Ayuick can't come back from his blown knee and Trent Williams is done with his injuries, we might need to blow it all up, Kyle is in trouble because his offense is way too one dimensional.

And Kyle is basically asking Brock Purdy to carry the team.

I think this is reasonable. My emotional side has already picked up the pitch fork though 🤣🤣

lol Kyle shouldn't be fired. He should grow. His coaching style has produced some awesome games and the niners have been one of the best football teams under him. What irks me about him is his refusal to change. We get it Kyle, you have a system that works, but now it doesn't. Different QB, the league has caught on. You need to adapt and we're here for that. I'm rooting for him to with the SB not for us but for him, but for his growth as a coach. Yes it's a bad season but it's not him. Players are demotivated. Anyone who has anything to prove already has but isn't getting the recognition. Honestly each person on the team needs to grow and that's just a part of being a successful franchise. Which the niners already are, even after yesterday's shellacking, no one has said the niners are a bad team. Just the ones who are angry, and they're stupid to think so. I do think that Kyle needs to look inward and find the motivation again, he will come out with schemes that will again force the teams around the league to introspectively again adjust.

He needs to get over his 4th quarter demons and take a breather. Run the ball when needed, put a nail in the coffin when needed. He recognizes that and pushes past that, he is going to go down in history. Take this season to work on your mental state, then ram the the football down the opposing teams next year.

These kind of philosophical adjustments don't happen in the regular season. When they do it's pretty remarkable. We saw Kyle for that in 2021 with Deebo. But usually these are offseason changes, as you build the team to match the philosophy. There was zero reason to shift gears going into this season because it had been so successful the last 1.5 seasons under Purdy. Well, now it isn't, so he'll look to adjust this offseason to counter what happened this year. If that fails we may have reached the end of what Kyle can do for the team, but the proper time to adjust still needs to be given, and that's the offseaaon, not mid-season.

Purdy can't even hold onto the ball.

It's like he has never seen snow before.

It would explain the memory lapses in game, and inability to change your playbook / scheme vs the same SB opponent…

Eight years between these photos.

Things have been so different after Kyle's ear surgery.
