But usually these are offseason changes, as you build the team to match the philosophy. There was zero reason to shift gears going into this season because it had been so successful the last 1.5 seasons under Purdy. Well, now it isn't, so he'll look to adjust this offseason to counter what happened this year. If that fails we may have reached the end of what Kyle can do for the team, but the proper time to adjust still needs to be given, and that's the offseaaon, not mid-season.
Getting complacent and overconfident in the NFL is just...Im not sure whats the word I would use...foolish ?
Just because it was so successful it convinced Kyle to not invest in the oline ? Even thought the line ultimately was one of the main reasons for the SB loss ?
What about special teams ? Surely Luter Jr resulting in a muffed punt in the fourth quarter shoulve caused some changes, no ? Aw no, who needs stinky special teams right ?

Brock Purdy is not elite. Josh Allen is pulling his pants down.
I suppose im in this boat now as well
Purdy would be pulling our defenses pants down too. They are garbage
maybe Purdy of last year
Yes the Purdy on a competent team. Kyle is running a circus
what?

why pressure.. are we at full strength ?
Who cares this team is playing sloppy and that should never be acceptable with spares, backups or otherwise
who cares.. it's the truth. no team is playing where we are with injuries.. lol

Honest question:
Has Shanahan lost the team?
I don't want the same 5 or 6 Shanny's groupies answering this because I want people with a functional/not biased brain answering.

you need to tell kyle you're done with the roster and hiring the DC. just focus on scoring points.

Hiring Sorenson to begin with was his biggest mistake, but not firing him could actually top that.
With so much blame to go around this season, It's actually hard to know where to start.
Either way, the off-season could be a fun and interesting one to say the least.

They all look tired and checked out. He needs to make a statement this week and fire Sorensen. Staley is there let him take over see what he can do.

Kyle also needs to hire an OC and have some play calling reduced. A new OC would change to the overall play calling and make it less predictable than what Shanahan is doing. Not to mention, it allows him to analyze what is working better and have adjustments, rather than just focused on calling the next play.
I don't think Kyle should get fired but this is by far his worst coaching year. The scheme has not helped out Purdy at all and now Brock Purdy looks very ordinary.
We have the worst or 2nd worst YAC percentage and separation numbers in the league. He continues to stick to the run (they have the one of lowest early down pass rates in the league), even when it isn't effective. We have had the worst special teams in the league for a while and at some point that falls on Kyle.
If he leaves I don't think it would be a firing but maybe a mutual parting of the ways where they ask him to make changes and he doesn't want to. And I also think Shanahan might be tired of the team and wouldn't mind taking the Chicago or NE job where he gets a fresh start and lower expectations

He's never giving up power. His ego is too inflated.

As agitated as I get after heartbreaking losses.
The truth is that Kyle isn't the spouse you breakup with. He's the spouse you give time to figure out their s**t and give them pushback on their bull.
He may need to revoke some of his control on team building and play calling. We definitely need a new Special teams coach cause goddamnit.
Pordy has been exposed as poor to ordinary. Just a game manager. Hopeless in the red zone.
But watching football has taught me just how much of a difference a single good pick can make. Or even a single draft class.
2019 gave us two of our best defenders in Bosa and Dre.
Kittle and Warner weren't top picks.
Even with FA; we saw just how much of a difference adding Williams made.
The OL issue could realistically get solved in a single solid offseason with 2-3 top guys coming in through the draft and FA.
I was on my "fire Kyle" s**t; talking to a Bears fan who basically went "fine fire him. We'd happily take him"
Truth is that there's really no better options out there and most of the league would give up anything to have Kyle run their team right now

He doesn't know defense, and he doesn't have a better option on staff to replace him.
