Totally agree. People don't realize how good they actually have it until the next coach comes in and it's nowhere near as good. A good friend of mine is a life-long DIEHARD Bears fan. He texted me LAST week after the GB loss and asked if fans are really calling for Kyle to get fired. I told him half the fanbase wants him gone and all he said was, "are they retarded"?

Gewtting to 4 straight SBs is unprecedented. It just so happened that during that era the NFC was the stronger conference much lik the AFC is stronger now. It runs in cycles and who youface in the SB has alotto do with the outcome. During that era the NFC wasn't jist winning. Many of the games were really lopsided blowouts. The Niners have been unable to beat the Chiefs who have been the best team in the NFL. It's just the luck of the draw.

This season has been a disaster starting in training camp. They haven't had their projected starting team on the field for one game this year. Some of that is bad breaks and some may be age and wear and tear. But there's also another factor. Complacency.

Think about your own job career. When you start a new job you always do your best to impress the boss and the other employees. Once you settle in you begin to relax and you find a comfort level. Eventually you get complacent and start taking a sick day here and there. I've seen this at every place I worked and I'm sure most of you have as well.

Sports is no different. Players that are on the fringe fight hard to stay in the league. The ones that are established and have a big contract don't always play quite as hard. They may think they're playing hard but in reality they aren't giving that little extra that got them the big bucks. This team has a lot of aging players that are getting hurt more and many that are getting paid a lot. Time to step back and evalute who the want to keep and who needs to go.

The disaster started earlier with bad coaching hires and offseason roster mismanagement
lol reading these troll's post from other teams is hilarious

no way 49er fans can be this far from reality

This is a great, great stat. Andy Reid being first is no surprise, probably makes it essential practice time. 9ers bottom 3 is 100% on shanny. No focus on the most basic parts of football

Turnovers have definitely been a problem this season. Niners were +10 last year and were 6th best. This year they are -3 and ranked 21st. Statistically turnovers, especially fumbles lost, have no discernable season over season pattern, but they seem to come in waves on occasion. Mason's fumble against the Cardinals is probably the worst one this season, but hard to point to just one play. In the end a season is it's own weird ethereal thing and sometimes that's just the way it is. Other 2023 playoff teams are going through their own funky years, too, such as the Bengals, Cowboys, Dolphins, and Browns.

So it has nothing to do with Coaching right captveg?

Coaching is always part of it but I don't think this bad season was mostly on Kyle. He didn't cause all the injuries. It was a combination of a lot of things that all came together this year.

Coaching was a huge part of it at the beginning of the season when we were on the "easy" part of our schedule

Exactly my friend. It's like these people expect the 9ers to reach the Super Bowl and automatically win it, like Super Bowls are easy to win.

There's your mistake right there, thinking the 9ers had an easy part of the schedule. Yes the Rams game should've been a W, but the Cards are actually pretty decent team. I'll guarantee you this though, that the 9ers won't end up in last place for long.
Besides Don Shula, not a single coach in nfl history has ever won a Super Bowl after dropping their first 2

That is damning, but Kyle is young. This is why I say they need to approach this offseason like they just took over. Take an axe to the team. I think the rebound could be very quick.
I don't understand how anyone can blame this season on Kyle. He had this team in the SB last year and the Chiefs had to go to OT to beat them. Kyle didn't forget how to coach in 6 months. The only thing that changed was a massive onslaught of one key injury after another. You can say the failed in the draft but drafting someone other than Pearsall wasn't going to make difference this year. They did get Puni in the 3rd so that was a plus. You just can't lose all your best offensive players in the same season and expect to be good. Not when that's your identity.

They make this and they are one of the all time great teams.

I just heard that Trent Williams wife lost twins in November during birth. One more terrible thing that happened to this team ths season. It can't be worse next season.

This is what happens when you have success. You get the fairweather fans that come in and think every year we need to win a SB if not fire, X Y Z. This forum is also a good indication of that. A lot of new accounts and new posters joined after 2019, and most of them are the fairweather fans who don't know s**t.

I've never heard a fan of another team say Kyle sucks or should be fired, same with the media. We just have a lot of dumb fans now unfortunately.

I doubt they're even fans, just trolls of other teams who we beat the last 8 years

Sorry, is this supposed to prove something? It doesn't, it is one of those pieces of information which proves nothing and simply is, until someone does it and it is no more.
