The talent drain on the coaching staff has been unprecedented in my memory. Instead of just training players, it has left Kyle with the task of training coaches as well. So, while he can be criticized for not filling the slots with quality coaches, it isn't like quality guys are falling out of the sky.

About 25 other teams would be in a mass brawl for first place if Kyle or John were let loose.

how i would fix sf is you hire someone to work with lynch to do personnel. shanny is taken off of that. lynch and the FO can hire a DC also, who has full control of the D. really dial back shanny's roles so he can focus on O and play design / innovation / scoring points. he's making too many blunders with lance and DC mismanagement.

I think he deserves another year. Peters left and tbh this last draft was better than the more recent ones. They need to go back to basics.

I cannot stand Kyle. I've thought he was a choke artist for quite a while and wanted to move on but as of today, no way would I move off him. Why? Cause we aren't a very good destination for a really good coach anymore. As it stands today, might as well keep Kyle and be mediocre than take a chance that Jed can hire someone good and probably really suck for the forseeable future.

in my perfect world we moved on from Kyle after the Super Bowl last year. At that time we were probably the number one destination for any coach worth his salt. Welp, didn't happen. Que sera sera………..

4 conference title and 2 SB appearances in 5 years is now mediocre I guess.

i ask the question are we getting better or worse. right now we are getting worse. it will take some vision to probably remake the roster, which means cutting ties with juice and others.

Yeah they should try and hire someone as great as John Harbaugh who hasn't been to a superbowl in 10 years or that great coach in Pittsburgh who hasn't been to a Super Bowl in 20 years. It's amazing the hypocrisy in the media and on this forum over Shanahan and Lynch.
