This team is a hot mess. The injuries to their top players really exposed the lack of talent on both sides of the ball. They need to shut down their injured players for the rest of the season. There's no reason to risk further injury.

Unless Purdy is cool with taking a 3-year 30-40 million a year deal, the Niners would be wise to wait to see how he looks next year. There's no way they should consider paying him 60ish million a season.

i'm cool paying brock big dollars. he's earned it. and the price can be paid. move off of deebo, hargrave, trent maybe retires, heck we may see 85 retire with how physical his career has been. then move off Ward. juice. gonna be a lot of changes and i welcome them. team needs a refresh bad.

now when you invest in QB, get some OL to keep him upright and WRs who get open. gonna have to outscore teams or rely on scheme to create some havoc on D. can't just line up 4 down guys and get a lot of pressure. those days are done.
Shanahan can't be an OC and Coach. Doesn't work. Time to cut the cord.

It is totally relevant and true. CMC, Brandon Aiyuk and Trent Williams. There is upwards of $60 million salary cap.

What about Brock, Kittle, Jennings, Mason, Bosa, Hargrave, Greenlaw, Lenoir, Huf, Wish etc...

All guys who have been banged up and missed time...

Bosa got his money, Hargrave got his money...even Kittle got his money so yes, they are the money men.

Of course everyone plays with injuries throughout the season. Kansas City are beat up. Detroit are beat up and they are still winning.
Detroit and KC beat up, like who?

Detroit and Kansas City have their injuries and are still winning.

Shanahan looks like a coach without answers and the team looks like they've given up on him. I've seen plenty of good and bad teams over the years. I don't want Shanahan gone, but it seems inevitable. If not this season, then next. Once a team has quit, as we seem to have, it's really hard for any coach to pull them back.

I don't know if it's the lost SBs, questionable decisions, or something else. All I know is I've seen plenty of teams where the coach is no longer resonating with the team, and this really looks like one right now. Hopefully Shanny can put Humpty Dumpty back together again, but I'd be surprised.
care to list the injuries or are we back to spitting BS again ?

let's cut the excuses
I just did, you need to buy some reading glasses.

I commend Fred Warner for his love of the game and his willingness to play under any circumstances. When he's healthy he's a DPOY candidate, like he was earlier this year when he was healthy.

But he needs to be sent to IR to rest. He's only hurting the team by playing injured, and he's possibly sabotaging his future by playing injured and not letting his ankle heal.

A good coach will protect players from themselves. Shanny needs to pull Warner to the side and tell him the truth and force Warner to rest for his own good. However Shanny won't do this. Because he literally did not do this with CMC, who should've been eased back into the lineup. Instead Shanny just ran CMC into the ground until he couldn't walk. Shanny is just gonna let Warner keep playing until Warner can't walk anymore.

I understand maybe pushing if it were the playoffs or something like when Owens played the super bowl on a broken leg. But this is clearly a lost season. Take the L and look to next season.

The division was and still is in striking distance. I don't think we have much of a chance as a fan, but it shouldn't be hard to understand why these professional athletes making big money are playing through injuries with season goals still a possibility.

Fans talk about rest and tanking for draft position from a distance.

The team won't find a better HC or OC.

lol, you can't even post truthfully
Unfortunately, you can't read.

Kansas City has not played with Isaih Pacheco who suffered his leg injury in Week 2. Their kicker is out. The O-line is banged up. Raahee Rice, Sky Moore, Jalen Watson, Hollywood Brown etc.

Detroit, Plz. Defensive ends Aidan Hutchinson and Marcus Davenport are both believed to be out for the season, along with linebackers Malcolm Rodriguez and Derrick Barnes. Fellow linebacker Alex Anzalone is sidelined with a broken forearm as well.the Lions played without left tackle Taylor Decker on Thursday.

Let's start speculating for next year. Deebo can't be coming back unless he takes a huge pay cut. Then again Kyle seems to rely on him for 40% of his plays for some reason. Purdy is getting paid but how much? $50mil seems fair considering the market and his production but he could easily demand top dollar. Cmc? At this point i wouldn't be surprised if he retires this offseason. We have good rbs so not terribly worried but need to replicate his receiving production somehow. Trent is not holding up and has regressed this year even before injury. Need to find 4 new O-linemen as far as I'm concerned. I think the biggest change needs to be in the coaching staff. D coordinator obviously a need. St too, and conditioning… ok just about everything. I'm a Kyle truther but he needs to rebuild the supporting staff. All of his old Guard got poached and we haven't been able to replace them with quality.

Robert Saleh please come home. Also an offensive HC like Mcdaniels role would help take pressure off Kyle. Problem is where would he even find these guys.

A lot of concerns, I wanna die
