49ers Head Coach Kyle Shanahan Thread

I don't think a single down season after making it to conference championship games and SB's 4 of the past 5 years really justifies paper bags.

These kinds of performances are sad and unacceptable. Plenty of talent on that field even with the injuries. No discipline, poor coaching, no playing with pride. Only Kittle was doing everything he could. Deebo just pouted and dropped passes after the foul to start the second half. Shanahan needs to do SOME thing different or get the hell out of the way.

LMAO
I don't think any reasonable fans want KS fired after one down year but if he isn't willing to make some major changes to the coaching staff (including getting help for himself on offense) and draft philosophy then you have to wonder if he's self-reflective enough to ever win a championship.

Agreed. The Saints fans back in the 80s and 90s did that. We aren't anywhere near that level of suck.

The team is 2 games under 500. It's a down year is this an omen that this will be common place IMO no this team will be fine everything has ebbs and flows.

Help when you have the best QB (maybe ever).

Some should wear paper bags even if we are 17-0

MAYBE EVER - the race to be The 2nd Best QB Ever (between he and TB)

NO ONE beats Joe especially when it's " THE KENTUCKY DERBY " ...

Lol, I remember one of our most prominent Shanahan haters was complaining that we only went 12-5 last year (good for the one seed).

the league adapts. can't just cook with what you were doing 4 years ago. every D faces this style of O all season. they have answers.
I read the headline on the article above that says "Shanahan looks exhausted". What a shock. Why wouldn't he look beaten down. Every week since training camp has brought another big injury or some disturbing report about a player. He's had to change things around every week and that is bound to wear on you. He loves his system and when he can't run it the way he would like he's unable to make adjustments.
