My best hope at this point is we are able to rest our key guys down the stretch, have a great draft and then bounce back next year. This team looks gassed to me, physically and mentally.

Hope so bro. I'm disappointed with KS but don't agree he should be fired.

I'm with you until we find someone better, I would rather try one more rebuild with him. Hopefully he will be more humble and start to call plays around the team he has and not what he wants.
Alright, so, gameplan:

> Lose as many games as possible while resting CMC, Greenlaw, Bosa and Williams
> Closely evaluate Purdy's injury; if it has any connection whatsoever to his MCL injury, seriously consider not extending him in the off-season
> Draft order: , OT, C, OG, DE, DT
> Just get rid of Deebo, somehow
> Sign safety in free agency (Brown is terrible)
> Re-sign Greenlaw
> Commit hatecrimes on a last-in-the-division schedule

Kyle should take lessons from Detroit on how to compete and win with several players missing due to injury. No excuses, next man up winners. Kyle and his staff are inferior. Better options exist. We just need Jed to grow a pair.
Off-season is time for difficult conversations. Shanahan should stay, but we must move on from productive veterans. Juice, Deebo, Hargrave, Ward, Campbell, etc. Purdy contract done early, force Kyle to hire an OC, heavily consider Sorensons position and make a decision. Draft in the trenches and look to add a vet on the edge (Joey Bosa?). Look to improve in the secondary (FA/Trade). And Shanahan is no longer untouchable and is treated like a coach that's achieved nothing, if we start 0-3 then he's gone.

3 consecutive NFCCGs is now fading fast.. lol
We're not that far from the 2020 season where they were ravaged by injuries following a super bowl loss and wound up 6-10. The following season they got it together as the season went on and narrowly missed the Super Bowl. It absolutely sucks after how good they've looked the last couple years, but the team is still talented if people can get healthy. Shanahan, while he hasn't delivered a Super Bowl, has a lot more playoff wins than pretty much any other head coach outside of Andy Reid the last five seasons.
Anyone watch the Detroit v Greenway game tonight? That call by Campbell to go for it on 4th down in the final minute instead of kicking a field goal and giving the ball back to the Packers allowing them a chance to win the game..... That's the difference between Kyle and some of the top tier coaches in the league.

Kyle would have kicked the field goal and prayed his defense could hold....... He lost three Superbowls playing that way.

The notion that the "idea" of Shanahan not being here is out there and being discussed…is promising, to say the least. At one point, it would have been heresy to imply otherwise. Now you have media folk talking about it, and even speculating where he could end up.

This is the beginning of the end for that clown. Just need to be patient for one more season before Jed gives him the pink slip. Or he could do us a favor by going on a serious bender after the season's over and then resign. I have my fingers crossed.

Disagree wholeheartedly. He would have punted. Too risky to go for that FG on 4th and inches. Punt it for a touchback and let the defense lose….I mean…win it for you.

lol. You're talking about coaches being aggressive and taking chances to give their teams the best chance to win. 49ATT completely deflects the point and says it's the players injuries at fault, not coaching.

the Shanahan cult is real….
