Deebo and Aiyuk are both good but not great. Jennings is a nice 3rd receiver and we havewn't seen enough of Pearsall to know.

Detroit has 2 things that the Niners don't have. They have a great line that allows Goff time to throw and they have speedy skillplayers in the backfield and at WR.

yeah folks that want Johnson don't realize he runs the same damn s**t lol.

DET has one good WR and he's not a true alpha XWR. He's best in the slot. I could see slick Rick being that type of WR in a couple yrs

they have a great run game that actually uses to running backs effectively. We gotta start doing that

their OL is what separates them from SF right now. We all know Goff under pressure is dead to rights, give him time and use a ton of play-action he can spin it and is accurate.

I saw Daniel Jeremiah talking about DET's GM and how great he's been at building that OL. I mean realistically he drafted one OT that was a no-brainer in the top 10. His center and LT were already there. They signed a 34 yr old traveling LG and brought back a RG that they drafted years ago. I wouldnt call that some special thing. Having three yrs of drafting in the top 12 helps too.

Doesnt matter. They see a great OL as a core priority. That's all that matters. It really doesnt matter how you got there.

Shany wants hands on balls.

This is what I've been saying when people start ranting about the poor drafts in recent years. It really makes a difference when you draft top 10 or top 15 every year. Most scouts feel that the quality starts dropping off after 15 . Maybe 20 in a good year. After that the remaining 1st rounders aren't much different than 2nd or even high 3rd rounders. Of course there are never any guarantees but it sure improves your chances of getting a quality starter.

Nope. There are plenty of teams that have been drafting in the top 20 consistently for decades that are always terrible.

Not really. 1st rounders....Greater expectations. Tend to hang onto players long than you should. Some kids lose drive. 1st round pick do have a great success but it crystal clear if you have watched the draft over the years/decades how things work and nothing is straight forward about it. Like... just draft for few years in the top 20 and all your troubles go away.

Again it was multiple GMs. It's not a one guy fixed everything. Unless you think 75 yr old Sheila Ford has been making all the decisions lol.

Yeah you're right there is zero correlation with higher picked players having a better chance at being successful. Good thing we got rid of all of those 1st rd picks. Not worth anything apparently

Quit trying so hard man. s**t is ridiculous.
People trying wayyyy too hard to pump up a franchise that's been the laughingstock of the league most of their time in the NFL with zero SB appearances to their name.

As of now their claim to fame is blowing one of the biggest leads in playoffs history to…SF.

talk about hypocrisy

meanwhile our own fan base can't even give our massively injured team some grace after years of going deep into the playoffs and to super bowls. Bunch of whinny babies.

There is... it's just not overwhelming or guaranteed that's for sure ...doesnt mean success. Ask the Lions, Browns, Jets.....do I need to continue.

How is that semantics? They've drafted one OL in the top 100 since This regime that everyone loves took over….shocking it took a top 10 pick to land him.
