Why can't you have some faith that this regime can re-tool and build up the team like they did the first time? At the very least have some healthy players

we apparently already have the FQB

They are good and have been for awhile. Shanylynch doesnt see the OL as a priority. That is clear.

So you would push in the chip kelly era with Kyle's to prove a point lol?

Ok.course not. I just want the OL to be a priority over whiny WRs at THIS point in time. Shany is going going no where like it or not. As far Shany goes, his philosophy is predicated on a dominant run game and a defense that is top 10. So let's get back to that.

we got folks still living in the 80s Facts are there's been a ton of losing from 94 up until Harbs and Kyle showed up. People feel entitled or some s**t because of SB wins decades ago.

you heard Jed. the standard is super bowls. now that may not be the case in cleveland or jacksonville or what have you, but it is here.

Jacksonville, Cleveland. What do you think the average draft position is for those teams the past 25 years?

yeah they get high picks, but it does nothing. losing seeps into the walls of an organization. that's why i am against tanking fundamentally. it's like herm says, you play... to win... the game..

Also it's not like SF hasn't invested in OL. They traded for the best LT of our generation. Spent a top 10 pick on a RT. Made a center one of the highest paid at their position. Drafted multiple guards in the top 100. Traded for a former 1st rd pick OG and signed all-decade center.

It's time to re-invest, but it's not like they've never done anything there.

Anything or enough are two different things. All sounds good.....do we have a good OL for the future......I say no. Not many resources in the past 5 years allocated to the OL If we still had an all decade center, a top 10 pick playing RT and a top 100 guard right now I dont think we are having this convo.

Browns have a talent roster, they have a horrible QB situation that the owner created.

I am lukewarm. They seem stubborn and unwilling to make decisions outside of their norms. Status quo is not it.

it's two different skill sets. for example, they should have moved on from juice already. but there is some attachment to what worked in 2019, so they are trying to run back that old glory rather than innovating or being critical of the operation.
So we are starting to have leaks again?

How so?

Kyle scheme has always had a FB. It's not like juice is the reason they're winning or losing right now. Dude took a pay cut. He's the least of our problem and a poor example imo

having a FB that can do what juice can do is actually innovative compared to what the rest of the league does

what is DET doing that's "innovating"? Kyle has been rolling out positionless football for a while. We run personnel groupings that no one else really does. He was running crazy pre-motion stuff before anyone else. We have one bad season of injuried football and this is what we're upset about?

Just reporters asking questions, nothing new there

ST coach still on staff

Defensive Coordinator still on staff.

OL coach unwilling to make changes.

Draft priorities past history that wont change and ignore needs and failures.

FA priorities history and signing that will continue to ignore needs. Make some tough decisions and ignore the failures.

OC play calling needs a fresh look or at least a passing cordinator with clout.

I get the feeling they are going to run it back and blame injuries.
They will ignore the fact this team team has a entitlement problem, doesn't have a compete mentality and has lost its edge. I said this in another thread, hold outs, absenteeism in the offseason and in camp is a cancer. The biggest thing is changing the mentality, that to a point they created. Are they willing to show up million dollar athletes and put them in their place? Lots of things need to happen.

Ya but Juice is useless. Again, is Shany willing to sit his once star FB and adjust his scheme and personnel?

Who the hell is he replacing the ST and DC with mid season? The DC is like 14 weeks into his job.

This just had a damn good draft. Da f**k you talking about?

I see a list of ridiculous complaints about a team that has been one of the best in the league the past 5 yrs.

Tell me you know nothing about the FB position, without saying you know nothing about the FB position

you can't even give me your idea of why Kyle's scheme and personnel should be…I mean you're clearly smarter than him, so tell me. What's the personnel, what's the plays, explain instead of b***hing about stuff you don't understand.

BA has absolutely nothing to do with adding offensive line talent. They got Puni. You're complaining about completely different things at this pt.

My point about DET is, you're lumping in what past regimes did and playing it off like Holmes and Campbell were responsible for that OL completely, which is factually incorrect.
