I come here to have to have good logical discussions on everything 49ers…if I wanted to deal with whinny takes fueled by emotion. I would just go to X

From the poster who gave us:

"Solomon Thomas is the safest pick in this draft"

"We should see what we have in Lance; you can't teach measurables"

"Brock will eventually regress to Nick Foles / Gardner Minshew"

"Trading for CMC is a dumb move"

Plenty of crap takes.

At least he talks football and doesn't just troll like a child

Defensive Coordinator still on staff.

OL coach unwilling to make changes.

Draft priorities past history that wont change and ignore needs and failures.

FA priorities history and signing that will continue to ignore needs. Make some tough decisions and ignore the failures.

OC play calling needs a fresh look or at least a passing cordinator with clout.

I get the feeling they are going to run it back and blame injuries.
They will ignore the fact this team team has a entitlement problem, doesn't have a compete mentality and has lost its edge. I said this in another thread, hold outs, absenteeism in the offseason and in camp is a cancer. The biggest thing is changing the mentality, that to a point they created. Are they willing to show up million dollar athletes and put them in their place? Lots of things need to happen.

Who the hell is he replacing the ST and DC with mid season? The DC is like 14 weeks into his job.

This just had a damn good draft. Da f**k you talking about?

I see a list of ridiculous complaints about a team that has been one of the best in the league the past 5 yrs.

Why did we wait til W14. Ya.....coordinators never get replaced mid season!

Yah....one good draft in the last 5 years.

Ridiculous? It's amazing what motivation and focus will get you in sports. This team lacks both right now.

I know some fans expect a good draft every year but it doesn't work like that. Bill Walsh had 4 staright mediocre drafts tha netted about 5 decent players out of 39 picks. The hits were #1 Stubblefield #2 Watters #2 Dennis Brown #2 Eric Davis # 5 Merton Hanks

The misses were #1 Todd Kelly LB #1 Dana Hall DB #1 Dexter Carter who was okay byt was mostly a kick returner. #1 Ted Washington. He was an okay NT that ended up getting traded. He never was a great player with the Niners. All the other picks either didn't make the team or never became a valued player.

I understand how the draft works. The success rate is not great but the last bunch have been very poor. This includes the complete whiff on Lance which is extra bad.

To be honest the 2024 is yet to be decide as a success.

I just listed those Walsh picks to show that even the best coaches and GMs can miss a lot. When you pick late in the rounds like the Niners did back then andlike they have been doing recently it makes it that much harder. There are usually 15-20 blue chip players in every draft. After that the talent drops off and it's way harder to make the right pick. They've done way better in the mid to late rounds. The Lance miss happened in a year when al the QBs were over rated because of the crazy Covid schedule. Noe of the top 5 has been great. Even Lawrence who was called special is just average.

Ya.......that was suppose to an epic QB draft. The exact opposite happened.

It was epic all right. An epic flop.

The difference is, those are opinions, and we've all had "crap takes" like that. What you do is state your opinion on Kyle, and then state it 1000 more times everyday 24/7, in a trolling way as well.

Hyperbole much?

That was me after we lost the first SB in 2019. After last year, it was more of a sigh…

do you guys think kyle's players still tip too many plays at the line of scrimmage and that's why we suck?

has that ever been resolved?

lol!
Happy to ban or suspend posters who think that this is the place to slag off other posters. Everyone here (well, most people anyway) support the same team. How about remembering that and trying to be more pleasant.

Santa is going to put loads of you on the naughty list.
Shanahan is a very good HC. Not great.

Do you think we lose either SB with Belichick or Payton as HC? Absolutely not. Last year is a blowout with Belichick.

That said, it's tough to find very good coaches. So...he stays.

Don't agree about Payton. But it is certainly tough to find good coaches. Mainly, other teams seem to get them by stealing our coordinators!

We have no deep threat... and we had deep threats, Kyle runs them out of down/doesn't use them.

So no need to tip our plays, when defenses have a good idea after all these years what part of the field they have to worry about...and what part of the field they can ignore. (Like KC in the Super Bowl. They were daring us to throw it deep. 😕)

Belichick had the opportunity to be in both those Superbowls, but didn't make it.
