I thought this was Kyle's best game this season. Could be happenstance, but it's just as likely it's due to finally being able to find a rhythm and being able to sustain drives

Agree, +1 for the redzone TDs.

They played a horrible team who just fired their coach; so there's also that.

Imagine how good he would be if he realized deebo sucks and we stopped wasting any looks at him at all. McCaffrey self corrected his own suckage so he's a non factor. Juice is horrible too.
Pearsall looks like a bust. Can't even properly track th football in the air or get any looks.
Imagine if you just remove all looks to those guys and you feed Jennings, kittle, Ayuik, Mason, and gurrendo next year. See if cowing has anything and we could actually put up points.
If you don't play the players who suck and feed the players who are good we can actually win.

This.
I've been critical of Kyle for lack of aggressiveness. Imo, he plays not to lose, which means he doesn't take his chances on offense, which means he doesn't put teams away, which means we're hanging on by our fingernails at the end of the game, which often means we're complaining about a ref call, or a player's dunce play, which we wouldn't care about if we'd taken our chances on offense when We control the play and racked up the score.
For example, that total idiot Dan Campbell goes for it on 4th down All the Time. What a Loser! But, that lucky b*****d is the only one in the league with 12 wins. He's the only one with 1 loss. He's the only one with over 400 points. He's tied for lowest points against at 234. He's sitting on the number one seed in the NFC. I can understand winning once in a while if you're a gambler, but how in the H can you stay on top in all catagories three quarters of the way through the season. That lucky SOB defies logic. Must be one crap devision that boy's in.
I don't know. Maybe there's something to the idea that if you don't go for it on 4th down, you Won't score a touchdown on that drive, but if you don't make it, the other team only Might score a touchdown on their posession. Maybe more importantly, going for it shows you trust your guys, and causes them to play more aggressively. It keeps their spirits up. We've had defensive coaches that preached "just don't you screw it up, and My defense will win it in the 4th". Loser. No you won't. Defensive guys don't take their chances on offense. Occationally you run into one that will, like a Belichick or a Campbell, and they sure seem to do pretty darn well. Belichick didn't start off that way. Saban tought him that. That's when you should take your chances, when You get to choose the play, and know what it is. Don't play for a close 4th quarter win. Put them Away. Too much can go wrong in close games. Some offensive coaches are timid and tend to play not to lose. I'm looking at You Kyle. Maybe it takes Lynch talking to Jed and suggesting he go public that this team performance is not acceptable, and get tongues wagging about this job is not tenured. You don't have to do it Jed, with your permission, he'll take care of it, and you can stay out of the fire.
Dang. I liked the play calls tonight Kyle. Not just on 4th down, but pushing the ball down the field when you get the look you like. Yes Sir Kyle, you were Great tonight. This was Fun. Keep it up, young man. I think you might have a future in this business.

Great game by the players and their ability to execute the plays that were called by Shanahan today. The players limited penalties too. Very pleased the players were able to go out and fulfill the plays that were called.

Exactly. I guess beggars can't be choosers. Solid victories have been sparse this season, so even beating bottom feeders is worth celebrating I guess.

When he breaks a rule they will. There's no rule against having zero football knowledge.

Is that why Brock said Pearsall ran the correct direction? Juice sucks? LOL. Dude had like 1 target and was open but Purdy underthrew it. Derp Derp

Just want to check - are we talking about the same guy that gambled away his team's entire season last year and handed us a Superbowl berth?

The special teams coaching is still so poor. Two examples that flew under the radar yesterday only because the game was out of hand.
1) Cowing should NOT be catching and returning the punt at the end of the half deep in their territory. Only bad things can happen. He shouldn't even be back there. Go all out for a block.
2) The stuff going on with Moody not kicking it into the landing zone. WTF was that? I'm assuming he was coached to do that - or coached to kick it down and hard and just missed the target? Willingly taking a penalty to put the ball on the 40 is a no-go.
