Exactly. I guess beggars can't be choosers. Solid victories have been sparse this season, so even beating bottom feeders is worth celebrating I guess.
Actually the Bears defensively are not bad. The best redzone D in the NFL. 5th best 3rd down defence in the NFL. 9th best scoring D. 11th best passing D. Of course their rushing D is poor, but you can't have everything. The point is, they were the team we were playing. I doubt whether the negative posters on this site believed that we would win.
my point remains that not even Bill Walsh could win with most of his impact players out, carrying a serious injury or just returning from injury. It is quite clear that there is a tranche of fans who want to ignore this and pour petrol on the situation.
