There's a difference between confidence and reckless hubris. Cost them a trip to the SB last yr.

i disagree. he did have reason to go. he has the best OL in the game. you trust that OL and your stud backs to get you a yard, more so than your kicker or D. ppl think he's some lightweight. no, he turned a deeply losing franchise around. shanny did that here and campbell did it in detroit.

Funny how everyone is on board with them being the worst team in the league the moment we blow them out…

They got blown out by the Niners. That pretty much makes them the worst team in the league.

Which team do you support? Comments like this make it clear you are only here to troll.

No. The Niners are one of the worst teams in the league. Our record says it. Chicago lost to us, so of course they will be considered one of the worst teams in the league. Being a fan doesn't equate to blind homerism. We have a bad team this year. Now we can debate as to why (injuries, coaching, etc) but there's no reason to believe that the team that beat the Bears is the "real" 49ers of 2024, whereas the team that got wrecked by Buffalo last week was just an aberration.

They should

Kap scoring a meaningless 2pt conversion and beating the Rams at the end of 2016 cost us Myles Garrett in the 2017 draft

You know how many things change if we get Myles Garrett? Let's not do that.

NOTHING woulda changed... Myles woulda been known here as Myles GoneHurt.. LOL

And I say you are just trolling. Proof? Patriots, Jets, Browns, Bengals, Jaguars, Titans, Raiders, Giants, Panthers. And you say we are one of the worst teams in the league. Garbage. Try watching the Titans for example. Our record is 6-7. 17 teams in the NFL are sitting on a record of 6-7 or worse. Well over half of the NFL.

It is neither a question of blind homerism nor of being a fan. So which team do you support?

He had no reason to go for it. Kick the FG and stop them on 3 plays. It was f**king stupid and erratic.

this has nothing to do with if Campbell is a good HC or not. It was a stupid call and he's lucky it worked. They lost a trip to the SB doing the same s**t. Time and a place, that wasn't needed

I would not say it was a stupid call. Maybe irrational but it fits his aggressive mentality and his team and fan base love him for it. Our coach goes with the "can't go broke taking a profit" and that's how coaches have been going about things for a long time. It has burned Campbell in the past and will burn him in the future but until he's failing like Brandon Staley the fans and players will continue to love him. But Staley has shown that just going for it all the time doesn't make you some genius coach.

I think you can bucket a team into the "worst" tier on the account of how many games they've choked away and how many blowouts they've been victim to. Unfortunately that's us right now. On the bright side, we have a chance to fix all this with our remaining games :)

DET fans will love him forever because he took one of the worst franchise is the NFL and made them watchable. He will always be allowed to go for it, even when it makes no sense. The bar was so low for DET, this is probably one of the best periods in their franchise history. He's their Bill Walsh and he hasn't won s**t lol.

My point is there's a time and place to be that aggressive. What he had to gain there vs kicking the FG was minimal imo. Folks think that's great (especially the ones that hate Kyle in here), I'm just calling that play reckless. Too each their own

Which one of those 6-7 or worse teams do you consider as a legitimate contender ? They all suck.

Dolphins
Jets
Patriots
Raiders
Bengals
Browns
Colts
Jaguars
Titans

Cowboys
Giants
Bears
Falcons
Saints
Panthers
Cardinals
49ers

We ARE one of the worst teams in the NFL because we belong on that list…
I was listening to Kyle's press conference as he talked about availability of certain players for Thursday. The NFL claims they're concerened about players safety and yet they insist on playin these short turn arounf Thursday night games. It's not enough time for players to completely recover from their Sunday game. It makes te possibility of serious injury even greater.

Time to dump the Thursday night games. I know they can't do it immediately because they have a contract with Amazon but I would let it run out and eliminate the Thursday game. The league can survive without it and I know players and coaches don't like it.

the league makes money on viewers and the platform who bought rights to show the game. No way would they change that. heck they even added a Friday game now.
