Shanny obviously doesn't understand that Deebo isn't what he used to be. Teams have adjusted and taken him out of the game. I understand that Shanny still thinks Deebo can be dynamic and he believed that getting Deebo involved would be beneficial but he's flat out wrong and too stubborn to admit it.

Maybe someone can clarify.

3rd and 6 on the 37 yard line. You call a handoff to Deebo up the gut, which gets you 3-4 yards. You had no plans to go for it on 4th so you trot out the FG unit.

1) why call a handoff to Deebo on that play
2) why call that play when you have no plans to go for it on 4th
3) why not take a risk to go for it on 4th when you have a team that is hanging on to its playoff hopes by a thread ?

I hope the Kyle supporters can provide a rational explanation to this brilliant sequence of events…

i agree, a guy who should have been suspended or benched for hitting teammates or moaning on social media. instead he was coddled. deebo predictably turned in one of the worst games he's just not good anymore and it effectively ended our season. we can't even trade deebo after he puts stuff like this on film.

-We left 2 TDs out there. One to Deebo, one to Ricky.

-We dropped at least 2 picks which could have given us some momentum and changed our energy.

-Had a costly turnover with the 4q interception Brock threw.

Think there was a bit of blame to go around tonight. Some on Kyle, some on the players. We could and should have won this game but we didn't.

Is ANYONE gonna ask Shannahan why he insists on force feeding a bad Deebo? Is anyone gonna hold

just the reality of we seem to be riding the bell curve. team was once ascending and is now descending. window feels closed with the QB contract going away. we are just another team instead of the team to beat in the conference. probably need to draft and coach up some real good ones to bounce back.

i wish media would ask shanny if he ever considered discipline action after he was hitting teammates in person or on social media, instead of designing around him.

Maybe he needs to adopt the Bill Walsh mentality: letting players go a year early, (or on time) rather than too late.

I agree that Kyle shouldn't have tried to force plays to Deebo. Kittle and Jennings have been the 2 reliable receivers. Why not keep going to them until the other team shows they can stop them. I know Jennings had a couple drops last night but I trust him more than Deebo.

Not exactly an unbiased source. Jimmy ultimately skirted all responsibility for why he failed here. He was given WAY too long of an opportunity here, and couldn't stop getting hurt or throwing stupid picks. But then he tries to act like the 49ers screwed him. 🙄
