Kyle trying to force feed Deebo the ball when he doesn't deserve the targets probably cost us the game. He should've told Deebo to STFU and actually give him less playing time for being a distraction. Instead he gave in to the demands and we got burned. Jennings or Kittle don't drop that walk in TD. It shouldve gone to one of them.

Possibly one of Kyle's worst coached games tbh. All that forcing It with Deebo cost us dearly and I don't know what that 3rd and 6 play was all about to end the first drive? Surely you had another play In mind for 4th down? Frustrating season for sure.

I'm not ready to fire him...he has earned another year...but if next year is like this year, his seat will be getting hot for sure.

I guarantee you next season will be a winning season. No way he goes through another season like this one.

If they sacked Kyle would they keep Lynch as GM?

he'll be stupid if he goes.. he can be GM of the year in 2025 once KS10 is gone, and after he hires PJ FLECK or DAN LANNING !!

I'm pretty sure Kyle will get next year to try and turn it aroind. There will be several roster changes and probbly a couple couchong changes. If they stumble like they did this year then they will likely consider a HC change.

yup. cost us the season.

kyle is stacking a lot of red flags

recall about a month ago deebo was choking a teammate and there was zero consequence which i thought was crazy. in fact kyle kinda blamed pepper for 'escalating'. pepper makes 1/28th the money so he was thrown under the bus, and the star player was coddled. everyone saying how oh he's so important to us, after he throws a fit on social media, more coddling. just the most trash game in 49er history from deebo, you can't play a more trash game than that, given the season on the line and him demanding usage.

Yes, but that's not the issue

my fixes

1. kyle is off personnel, and a real GM or assistant is hired to work with lynch to take kyle's role here. deebo and juice out among others.
2. lynch / his assistant hire a real DC and ST coach
3. kyle focuses entirely on O concepts and play design
4. new gm / lynch handle the draft
5. target young OL and invest in FA with a new WR

Agree, Shanahan needs to stay out of personnel and out of draft input.

What difference does an OC make here? What exactly will the OCs responsibilities be and how will they differ from our current run game and pass game coordinators responsibilities?

Do we really need an offensive coach to hold the OC title or do we maybe need to simply retooling some of the offensive staff ie letting some go and looking to upgrade from those coaches?

A bunch of fans seem to think we need someone holding that specific coaching title but I am honestly looking to understand why? What does an OC do and or bring that a pass game coordinator and run game coordinator doesn't?
