His worst game this year is better than Kyle's best.

And if he doesn't win the Super Bowl it doesn't matter…right?
Honestly, I don't know anymore. I just look at our team and I am disappointed. They are sloppy, undisciplined and extremely unlucky. We had a guy who literally quit on us. It's a confluence of bad s**t. I now expect them to lose every week. I don't want to feel like that. I want the team to play hard, clean and be competitive. Last week, first half the defense looked awesome. I thought, ok we have something going here. That was short lived. Offensive decided to take a rain day and forgot to show up. Then they wake up and start moving. Sloppy play and dumb decisions put an end to it. We just can't get it going. Who is at fault? There is more than enough blame to go around. There is a dark cloud over Kyle. The blown games, bad personnel moves and staleness is killing us. We need new life and a new direction. Anything to get us out of the s**tshow is welcomed. I don't believe Kyle can turn it around. I just don't see it. I think it get worse next year. I hope it doesn't and I will gladly eat crow if I am wrong.

We're all disappointed. s**t end of a great season in 2023, s**t off season, then a season full of injuries, tragedies and close loses from dumb s**t.

no one would have cared about this season, if they won one more game last yr…that's the difference between all of this. Take a step back and understand that. One game lol.

There's a dark cloud over any HC not named Reid. That's what folks refuse to acknowledge. If the only way ya'll are gonna be happy is with a SB, well you're gonna be upset 99% of the time. That's the reality of this sport, accept that or just be miserable all the time. Whatever.

this team has to reset and figure out who's part of the plans going forward, who's not and what positions/coaches need to be upgraded. There's so much parody in this league.

Why can't Kyle re-tool s**t and go for it again? They did it once (to a much worse team) and it's not like this is a s**t team, still tons of talent. They just need to keep adding the right guys. Saying he can't turn it around after going to multiple SBs and NFCCs is silly man.

I'd like to add: trying to avoid or minimize the length of the stupid offseason holdouts. Players holding out into or past training camping have been a detriment especially recently.

Agreed! Take care of your business asap. It's on both sides, but quit f**king around.

The only way to stop that is overpaying

I kinda see it as a case by case thing…Bosa had all the leverage in the world. He was gonna get paid as the top defensive player in the league by any team.

IMO I don't see every team lining up to making Brock one of the highest paid players in the NFL. A baker contract makes sense and also allows him to go get more cash while still in his 20s.

at some pt the team needs to put a hard line on money and date to sign. They can't toss out the cheapest deal ever and not negotiate, but have those conversations early and put a deadline on it.

If Brock wants what Dak got, I'm gonna say nah.

The good news is that the schedule next year looks soft so I can see us bouncing back nicely. Can we finish? We'll see, but in order to do that, Kyle needs to be better in those "Gotta have it" moments. That's what I'm most curious to see next year.

And signings for those who no way in hell deserve those contracts. It is not new about bad signings. It took forever to get Ford off the books.
Brock? I'm sorry, there is no way this is a $60m man yet. I'd play hardball or let him play next year, tag him and tag him again. Time for the 9ers to get a bit of nastiness to them. They at times come off as Cinderella's. And to make sure I think it's okay long term high cost contracts but jumping all in (Deeb) after a single good year was not a wise choice. Something an accountant/sports major could see in college.

And Brock, yeah yeah yeah. That won't happen but damn don't be a pushover. Make it fair and if not then go to plan B.

The team did that last year with Aiyuk, he still held out.
I would offer Purdy 10 million this year to see if he can show he can be a competitive QB for us. See if he is willing to take it. He did admit he failed this team which was true.

I agree with most of what you said, except the D held the Rams to 12 total points. I don't see how that was just a first half effort.

As for Kyle, there is a dark cloud over him. I think he hates 49er fans at this point, and we're starting to dislike him. I personally think he's a great coach, but he seems so stressed and worn out. Losing to the same team, same QB, same coach in 2 SBs out of 4 years is rough. He was once the hero but has coached long enough here to become the villain

Kyle has too much on his plate and needs to own up to that and adjust accordingly. Oddly he is the result of his own success. He has done so well other teams pillage his coaches almost every damn off season. It caught up to him. I am not saying its fair, but that's the reality. The man needs to take 4 weeks off with his family then roll up his sleeves and reinvigorate himself. I honestly think he can do it, but understand the odds are it wont happen. I really want to see coaching changes.

IMO his smartest bet would be rolling out the red carpet for Saleh. He needs a good DC who can literally manage that side of the ball so his involvement is minimal. It helps that Saleh helped establish this scheme and personnel is already good for it etc., but if a new coach wants to change it up then he needs to afford them that trust.
he just keeps stacking red flags. 6 points at home with LA on a short week, and our season on the line is another one. building it around deebo after he whines his tail off is another one. not disciplining deebo when he's slapping our teammates is another one.

As always your opinions are extremely valued around here.
