As always your opinions are extremely valued around here.

i admit i am being more critical than a simple weekly 'i love my coach'. no. i love my team. we are the 49ers not the shanahans. i was in on shanahan in the nineties, and still am. that doesn't mean i don't call a spade a spade. that deebo game was one of the worst 49er performances maybe ever. coach enabled it and planned around him and got a point total that accurately reflects how good of an idea it was. rams looking like the division winner right now.

Kyle enabled that play where Deebo was wide open and dropped a potential game winning TD pass. If you're going to critique every play that you don't like you need to also critique the good ones. There are more good ones than bad if the plyers do their job.

yeah and kyle enabled deebo who was community noted to have all these drops to drop another one. not a great moment. it was putting deebo ahead of the team. deebo should have been in street clothes watching any other receiver house that one. maybe we are still playing meaningful football but kyle clearly believed in deebo and kyle was wrong. my 2 cents. i could have told you (and did) after the SB that deebo is not a thing anymore he is pretty garbage in terms of his game.

edit - i guess if you are scoring at home on that play
kyle gets an A for a open WR
kyle gets an F for it being deebo
kyle gets another F for deebo being in uniform after putting his teammates embarrassingly on blast when it is he who sucks
deebo gets many Fs

it doesn't even feel like the rams beat us, kyle didn't handle the deebo situation remotely correct.

When you're paying a player that much they have to assume he can make the play. If he doesn't then it's on him not the coach. I don't believe Kyle just threw him the ball to make him happy. Besides the QB ususally has at least 2 options and sometimes 3. Brock chose to throw to Deebo. If the other guys weren't open he didn't have a choice. If they were then it was his responsibility to get the ball in their hands.

Kyle is an excellent coach BUT not perfect.

He needs to have a personal coach to help him when things aren't going right.

He's WAY too stubborn and needs someone to tell him so.

We have so many coaches, consultants, guys helping out it's crazy

fans need to realize players need to execute also

I hear you, but that's still a reflection of the coaching so damned if you do type of job.

Campbell having a great game i see lol

His worst game this year is better than Kyle's best.

And if he doesn't win the Super Bowl it doesn't matter…right?
Honestly, I don't know anymore. I just look at our team and I am disappointed. They are sloppy, undisciplined and extremely unlucky. We had a guy who literally quit on us. It's a confluence of bad s**t. I now expect them to lose every week. I don't want to feel like that. I want the team to play hard, clean and be competitive. Last week, first half the defense looked awesome. I thought, ok we have something going here. That was short lived. Offensive decided to take a rain day and forgot to show up. Then they wake up and start moving. Sloppy play and dumb decisions put an end to it. We just can't get it going. Who is at fault? There is more than enough blame to go around. There is a dark cloud over Kyle. The blown games, bad personnel moves and staleness is killing us. We need new life and a new direction. Anything to get us out of the s**tshow is welcomed. I don't believe Kyle can turn it around. I just don't see it. I think it get worse next year. I hope it doesn't and I will gladly eat crow if I am wrong.

I agree with most of what you said, except the D held the Rams to 12 total points. I don't see how that was just a first half effort.

As for Kyle, there is a dark cloud over him. I think he hates 49er fans at this point, and we're starting to dislike him. I personally think he's a great coach, but he seems so stressed and worn out. Losing to the same team, same QB, same coach in 2 SBs out of 4 years is rough. He was once the hero but has coached long enough here to become the villain

Yeah, the defense played lights out and did more than their share for a win. I conveyed that poorly.

We're all disappointed. s**t end of a great season in 2023, s**t off season, then a season full of injuries, tragedies and close loses from dumb s**t.

no one would have cared about this season, if they won one more game last yr…that's the difference between all of this. Take a step back and understand that. One game lol.

There's a dark cloud over any HC not named Reid. That's what folks refuse to acknowledge. If the only way ya'll are gonna be happy is with a SB, well you're gonna be upset 99% of the time. That's the reality of this sport, accept that or just be miserable all the time. Whatever.

this team has to reset and figure out who's part of the plans going forward, who's not and what positions/coaches need to be upgraded. There's so much parody in this league.

Why can't Kyle re-tool s**t and go for it again? They did it once (to a much worse team) and it's not like this is a s**t team, still tons of talent. They just need to keep adding the right guys. Saying he can't turn it around after going to multiple SBs and NFCCs is silly man.

I sincerely hope you are right NY.

LOL

only one laughing about this is our rivals and the rams. we are in last place, deebo sucks and we went down trying to feed him like he's prime TO. he isn't. shouldn't have been active. i'd have suspended him twice, once for slapping his teammate and once for social media stupidity. suspend or bench whatever is easiest.
Aiyuk acting up, deebo messing with the kicker then pushing the long snapper, bosa making political statements during post game interviews, deebo mouthing off on social media, Cambelll walking off the field mid game.

Shanny needs to get control of the team. Getting drunk during a work event at the superbowl probably doesn't give him much credibility in the discipline department.
