Oh, and has there Ever been a coach with a worse record protecting or overcoourming a lead.
You lose the locker room when you don't own your own mistakes, like that OT in the SB. You lose the locker room when you show a lack of character by blaming other people, like your phantom "analytics department" that not one player has ever heard of for that decision. You lose your locker room when you put the blame on the players, when you haven't properly prepared them or your coaching staff to win.
When you lose your locker room, they get mentally lazy and make mistakes. When you lose your locker room, they don't play hard. When you lose your locker room, they don't want to fight for you. When you lose your locker room, they don't bear down mentally. When you blame the players, they blame you.
You don't have to lose the entire locker room to cost you games.
When you lose games, you feel your job is in jeapordy. When you feel your job is in jeapordy when players are making mistakes, you lose your cool, cease to care about setting a disciplined example in front of your team, and throw your tablet into the ground. When you throw your tablet into the ground, the owner see's how you are representing him. He has never thrown his tablet into the ground.
When you throw your tablet into the ground, thinks you've lost your cool and the team.
When the ownership sees you've lost your team, they have no choice but to replace you.
