I'm saying he had the best most versatile running back in the league in CMC, Aiyuk, Kittle, Deebo, Jennings all on offense for the Super Bowl.. and he couldn't find a way to draw up the plays of his life in the most important game of his life to just get us some first downs to finish off the game... to not have some type of exciting stressful finish. You would think a genius with ALL THOSE WEAPONS would be able to do that.
But with those weapons we only scored 10pts through by the 4th QTR.. going scoreless in the 1st and 3rd qtrs.
I mean I would understand if that was a one off weird situation where you could give him the benefit of the doubt... but he has done that on numerous scenarios before that Super Bowl loss.
KC defense wasn't just some turnstile defense and it's not like we're down the entire game.
you also forget that we had no Kittle, Deebo, Feliciano (this one hurt us the most), Greenlaw for most of the second half.
Turnovers is what cost us
That's what you take out of that? Does the truth hurt you THAT much?
Out of 75 snaps...
Kittle had 63 snaps.. 84%...second only to Aiyuk 67 snaps (89%)... Deebo 72% and yes Deebo & Kittle played in the 4th QTR.
Eitherway Kyle still had CMC, Aiyuk, Jennings, Juice to be creative just to get us 10 yards... to get us some 1st downs to run the clock. I'm not even asking for a bunch of points.. just put the f**king game away!
Also... Jordan Mason... 0..... f**kING ZERO SNAPS the whole game
you ignore the injuries to Kittle and Deebo, both compromised and just decoys
we were playing the best defense in the NFL, being down major key pieces that got us there will make it harder to do anything. Yet we still got into a position to score a td, but back up Buford stopped that from happening to a wide open Aiyuk
Kyle, twice now, had the lead nearly the entire game, so it's not like we just got outplayed from the jump like you make it seem.

This all started because some of you still consider Kyle is an offensive Genius... even though he has shown us many times he makes idiotic decsions.
Does an offensive Genius need a stacked team of weapons to score only 10pts through 3 QTRs? What made the Chiefs defense considered the best? A bunch of talent, like our offense, or because some key players and f'n Spaggs!
My God I can't believe some of you forgot the feeling you had during and after the game. How many of you have the balls to watch the game again? Many of yall run when s**t gets bad... to stay in denial. I'll watch the condensed version again in a bit, to get another reminder of how overrated Kyle is as a genius.

Why, because overrated offenses don't get you to a super bowl twice with two different teams and doing it without the best QB in the league.
The cherry on top of this truth sundae is he didn't inherit an all star cast of a team.

A GM doesn't publically say the team performance is "unacceptable" unless he's talked to the owner about it first, and They are willing to do something about it if it doesn't change quickly. A season high eleven penalties? How many drives does that kill. I don't think these guys think they can win a SB under Kyle, and I don't think they are digging in and fighting for his job, and I don't think a coach can blame the players very many times and Never take any responsibility himself before the players start blaming him.
The way players have to dictate the decision to ownership is to show that the coach has lost the control and discipline of the players.

Lynch/Shanahan are a package deal. You can even say that Shanahan made Lynch. There is a lot of fan fiction going on. Social media amplifies it unfortunately.
Fans need to get used to it. Neither Lynch nor Shanahan are going anywhere and Purdy is getting paid at or near the top of the market.
Fans need to accept it and move on with their lives. It's not worth the banter - the outcome is certain

Lynch and Shanahan were a package deal eight years ago. Eight years on the job makes where they came in every bit as relevant as it does a player from his draft position eight years ago. Not at all. Why is this hard to understand? We've often been thought to have the best roster in the league. We've lately been wondering if while Shanahan's offense was very good, it has been defensed lately with no answers or adjustments from Kyle. More importantly, we've seen how Kyle has No talent in running a team overall.

Afrikan,
Salutations. I would like to take this discussion in a different angle. Every great coach has had at least some great players. See the original "genius", Bill Walsh who had both all time great players and players that fit his scheme greatly, which led to great success for both the players and Walsh alike.
And I agree, we throw around terms such as great or genius too much. But great coaches also make mistakes. Again, see the aforementioned Bill Walsh. And coaches, of all qualities, will not maximize their players at all times. That Kyle has failed to always maximize his available talent makes him human. That he fails makes him human.
I think Kyle has to do more work to be great, and i suspect he realizes that. But to suggest he is not a "gifted" play caller or that there is no potential for future growth for him or that he will learn from it is a mistake.
Fortunately, none of us are privy to when it will happen or it won't. If we knew, would we still care?
Lastly, a sense of urgency from the fan base for the sake of just having one after the Super Bowl is akin to living panicked.
While you might disagree. By all accounts we have:
Great Coach, though flawed
Great GM
A potential "Franchise Quarterback" who is only getting better
Key players that, though, they may be getting older can help the next run at the Super Bowl.
We will have, I reckon, a higher draft pick then we have had for a while.
We will get younger and faster
We will lose some players that are not panning out
The team will be rested for the first time in years.
We tend to do well in bounce back years.
And, we have the best traveling fan base in the NFL who will be ready to lose their minds each and every week.
In short with Kyle, we will be fine.
Happy Holidays,
Fro

All these complaints about Kyle's offense are silly. Just last year they had the best offense in the league and were one play away from winnng it all. Now it's trash? You don't think it has anything to do with so many key players being out?
