So if Kyle gets a pass for injuries, doesn't Sorensen also deserve a pass? Not a Sorensen apologist but why do some fans only give Kyle that excuse?

Niners are also choking drafts away

Are the 48ers suppose to hit on every draft pick? So far they have come outta the draft with one or two good players every season. Thats pretty damn decent to good. Funny how no one really brings up Harbaugh's drafts with the 9ers, 9ers haven't missed as bad as his 2012 draft, one of the worst in 49ers history.

Harbaugh didn't have the power Kyle does. These are Kyle drafts. Those were Baalke drafts

Those were all Harbaugh drafts. It was Harbaugh who chose Kaepernick, AJ Jenkins, LaMichael James, Marcus Lattimore and so on. Google it, Jim Harbaugh had say in 49ers drafts.

Suuuuuuure

Kyle sucks at drafting. Remember when he drafted Marcus Lattimore? A dude closer to losing his leg than ever playing in the NFL.
but that Latt potential..

Kyle needs to go. He hasn't improved in any way as a coach in 6 years

Do you think this miserable season had anything to do with major injuries to key players. Not just any player but the reigning OPOY. Their best WR. Their top O loneman. Three of the backup RBs. Several other players missing 2 or 3 games here and there. That's just on offense. Still they're 9th in total yards per game (less than one yard behind Buffalo) and 7th in passing yards per game.

Those SB gaffe's are unacceptable.

What gafes. Last year it was that muffed punt tht turned the game around and gave new life to the Chiefs. That wasn't Kyle's fault. In th other SB the defense collapsed in the 4th quarter and JG couldn't get a pass off as KC D line overwhelmed him.

Two times both against the Chiefs, he was unaware of the rules, and it cost us. Last year, should never have gave them a chance to come back. Those are on him, plus other questionable decisions as his time here as the HC.

You can't say they are the reason the Niners lost. That muffed punt was a much bigger factotr. Same for thr over thrown deep pass by JG that could have clinched a win.

30% is the league averge for draft picks making the team and having any success. That makes the Niners about average.

You can't hit on them all. But you should hit on some. The argument that other teams miss doesn't hold weight. Because if you weighted it more heavily to 1st and 2nd round I think we are among the worst. The amount of busts and gaffs is just unbelievable. Three 1st rounders for Lance. Pearsall instead of McConkey. Drake Jackson, Javon Kinlaw, Dante Pettis, Solomon Thomas, Reuban Foster.

Not exactly great in the early rounds. It's how we got in this mess. You got to hit on some of those high up picks. Potential blue chip picks.

Love how you use the 1st and 2nd round to fit your narrative.

2017 - Solomon Thomas - Rueben Foster - Foster, nominated for defensive rookie of the year 3rd place.
5th round - George Kittle - All Pro

2018 - Mike McGlinchey - Key starter for the 49ers for the next 4 seasons.
3rd round - Fred Warner - All pro

2019 - Nick Bosa - Defensive rookie of the year
2nd round - Deebo Samuel, 5th round - Dre Greenlaw

2020 - Javon Kinlaw - Bust - Brandon Aiyuk - All Pro
6th round - Charlie Worner - Good Blocking TE, 7th round Jauan Jennings - #3 WR and dependable 3rd down receiver

2021 - Trey Lance - Bust
2nd round - Aaron Banks - Key starter, 5th round - Demmodore Lenoir - Best #2 CB the 49ers have had in a long time

2022 - 7th round - Brock Purdy - Franchise QB

2023 - 3rd round - Jake Moody - Pretty much the only standout player besides Jiayir Brown but LB's Dee Winters and Jalen Graham.

2024 - Ricky Pearsall - Turning out to be a pretty decent WR.
2nd - Renardo Green - Good CB no denying that. 3rd round - Dominick Puni - very solid RG.

So I'd say out of those drafts, 2022 even though not too many standout players, they found their franchise QB. That's a success anyway you slice it. The 2023 one looks bad. But like I said, Dee Winters and Jalen Graham could still turn out to be really good.

Not sure I'm reading the bold correctly, but are you saying Shanahan drafted Lattimore?

How is he wrong? JH had a say in picks as well, at least on offense. Did we forget all the reports about JH/Baalke clashing when it came to what players to draft/sign? If JH had no say then that means it was all bs and Baalke / JH were bffs lol.
