I just don't think he understands QB's. Picking them in the draft, getting them in FA or developing them. The evidence simply doesn't support that at all. That's the point.

In the Purdy/Darnold comparison, the fact Darnold fell into a situation with healthy star players all around him seems to have missed you completely. Shanahan deserves credit for recognizing that Purdy, even when #3 on the depth chart, was better than JG, Lance, Darnold, and any other camp arm they had at any time. Purdy went on to prove Shanahan's correct assessment by going deep in two successive playoffs. Hence, your claim against KS has been proven wrong by the facts. So, admit it and move on. That is the honest thing to do.

i suppose you are referring to the Jed quote. a lot of that stuff may be the product of imperfect memory and something being said along those lines, that brock can play. he made roster as mr irrelevant so that tells you something. but i hardly think shanny was convicted that brock was the best early on. if he was, then he told the best QB not to dress until Trey got hurt, then ride the bench. you have to look at the actions. and darnold wasn't on roster at this moment that was next year and brock was 'QB1 when healthy'.

Counterpoint : I just don't think you understand football. The evidence is in your post history and it simply doesn't support someone who is knowledgeable about this game in any way, shape or form.
Great first half but as usual kicking a 58 yard FG was just flat out stupid. Embarrassingly stupid. I can't completely blame him as Purdy can't finish a game with throwing a pick but calls like that FG when every... single...one... of us knew that scrub was going to miss.
