I would have to disagree with that. This team Is a few missing pieces away from being legit contenders again.

What few pieces are we missing? The roster is full of holes...

We need a 3rd lb, and end to pair with bosa, defensive tackles we have none. You have one corner in Lenoir, missing at least another to pair if green turns out okay.

That's 4 on defense alone. Offense: wr? You have Ayuik who is middling as a wr1 at best, deebo should be gone, no idea if pearsall or cowing is any good. You probably need a wr. CMC is going to be 30. Mason hasn't looked the same since hurt... Maybe 1 or 2 rbs. Who is the tight end behind kittle? Hell even having a second tight end would be nice. There's 2 players right there just at tight end...

Then we can talk about the offensive line...

They need like 15 players to be good again...

not realistic to have all pros at every spot. it was a nice window to have QB1 on 900k, that's not typical. this is where player development comes in. the coaches who are elite pulling 8 figures a season you need em to be able to develop the guys they have.

LOL. What an excuse. He is the REASON they turned around. That says a lot of great things. He literally turned around University of San Diego, Stanford, Michigan, 49ers, Chargers. All were not winning programs until he arrived there. The common denominator is.....HARBAUGH.

But he didn't rebuild the 9ers Michigan or the Chargers. They all had talent. He hasn't rebuilt anything since Stanford. Since you love to point to record howd be do in 2007 and 2008 with no talent?

I saw a quote from Kyle (not sure if it was real) saying something like we would love to beat them and knock them out of the #1 seed position. Shame on him for not knowing even if the lions lost the game they can still get the #1 seed next week. Our team were big idiots and losers this year it sucks.

Why did Campbell play all his guys? They're actually SB contenders and that game meant absolutely nothing. Everyone in here loves him in here

Oh I'm not defending Campbell. I thought that was dumb on his part. It's the fact that Kyle didn't know they can still get the #1 seed and we weren't ruining sh*t for them that's embarrassing.

Just like Kyle presumed that Andy Reid was going to give him a 3rd possession in OT (Reid had previously stated to the media and players that he would go for two in OT if ever in that scenario). Kyle's reasoning for recieving in OT in that Super Bowl was because he wanted a 3rd possession...f**king idiot I swear... like he just thinks something, and it has to be true...it is all he accepts. He thinks everyone thinks like him. He acts like he's smartest person in the league.

You can't fire your dc two years in a row. It's just a bad look and it's never going to happen. You can't use him as the scapegoat two years straight ...

9ers fired two.head coaches in a row.

Not scapegoating when both guys are terrible at their jobs. At least this time Kyle would have a full complement of coordinators to choose from instead of picking from what's left like last two years.

i like dennis allen cuz he's a bright guy on x's and o's and he's never gonna be a hc again
Kyle makes little Jed feel comfortable...he makes Jed feel important. That is what matters. 😌

Not like how the Big Mean Jim Harbaugh treated little jed. 😔

"I've got a good relationship with Jed.." Shanahan said. "It's more what I have between him and myself."

When asked if the relationship has always been open and consistent, Shanahan replied, "Yeah, definitely. No, Jed is very easy to talk to. We've known each other here for, now eight years, and we feel very fortunate for how he is through the good and the bad. And the communication really never changes, regardless of what's going on."

Awwe so cute.

Head coaches are fired by the owner. Coordinators get fired by the head coach.

Shanahan is never going to admit his mistake and fire a dc two years in a row.

It's like saying "well these guys just suck that I keep hiring as their boss" ... No buddy sometimes when everyone else is blamed as the problem the problem is you...

Ultimately the suckage has to be owned by the head coach. Firing two in a row is a bad look so he would rather just eat the chatter than admit failure... Watch, it is classic shanahan.

I don't see, Deebo going anywhere anytime soon tbh. Aiyuk may not be elite, but he's still a good receiver and as for, Pearsall, I think he'll be pretty good too.

Fixing the trenches should be #1 on our list of things to do this off-season, as well as replacing both the ST and DC.

This team Isn't In need of some full rebuild. Injuries and miscues derailed any chance we had of reaching the playoffs this season.

But it isn't like he hired Sorensen over a ton of prospects. Jets wouldn't let Ulbrich go and everyone else was hired. Same issue with Wilks. This year there will be far more quality coordinators on the market.

What belief do you have that with the same players a year older there is going to be less injuries or that they will be as good as they were or better than before?

There's no players in the pipeline behind a bunch of aging stars...

You think there going to make it back and win a SB riding the coats of a bunch of 30-40 year old NFL players?

There's no chance...

Purdy would have to get a lot better and I don't see that happening given the track record of every QB regressing under shanahan...

The reality is the situation is bleak... This isn't some young team like the Seahawks that are a piece or two away... It's an aging team of overpaid veterans with a coach who is reluctant to hand the reigns over to young players...

The Jed hate is old news. He clearly learned his lesson and has been an excellent owner
