49ers Head Coach Kyle Shanahan Thread

Mike Holmgren won a SB in GB, but left because he didn't have control of personnel. He went to SEA because they gave it to him, and he $hit the bed. They took personnel control away from him, and he got back to the SB.

Coaching is an entirely different skill than personnel evaluation.

I just want Kyle to shut the F up, and let that Stanford guy do his job. It seems to me, from what we can see, that Kyle makes poor decisions based on maximum traits rather than football players, sticks to favorites and older veterans at the expense of keeping the team young, strong, and healthy, and is way too slow to give younger players a chance to play because he's kept older players. That's not going to work with all our high priced players. i hope he's not going anywhere because Jed has put him back in his lane. He's the coach. Not the GM. I hope Lynch is saying "we'll fix it" because he can now do so without undue influence.

I think it was the Rams game when Juice was in the backfield on 3rd downs. I was okay with it, thinking Kyle has him in there blocking

Nope. Juice is out there running patterns from the backfield on these 3rd downs lol

Wtf Kyle, that needs to be Guerendo in that spot. He kills us trying get his over the hill vet buddies involved. Let's take Guerendo off the field to have Juice play the cmc out of the backfield role. Just stupidity

Yeah he's a SLUG in many ways.

I think the O was not the problem. The D kept playing off the ball and was getting carved up and collapsed during the end of games. We do need to improve the O line, as everyone has stated and have a great draft like this year. We need a new kicker as well.
Irrefutable choke artist stat. It's all 3 phases of the game, not just one.

Yeah he is.
I'm not completely out on Kyle. Would like to see what he can do with an ELITE quarterback

He'd have to switch some things up imo. At the very least fix the hot routes and protection calls. Elite QBs don't play his "everything's built in" style

You got pressure coming off the right side and the answer is a route 10 yards downfield on the left side…it's just very unorthodox. Kyle's really good working off play action, but all QBs have gripes about his dropback pass offense

The O has always been the problem in big games. Our defenses have always held these high powered offenses to small amount of points in the first half or even through 3 qtrs.. only for our stacked offense to struggle to take advantage of that and build a big lead. Or hell put the game away with a few 1st down conversations, preventing comebacks from starting.

Given the choice, I'd leap at the chance to give Ben Johnson the keys. We Know he can run an offense, and the bar is just so low on Kyle's head coaching talents, I'd bet heavy Johnson would clear it by a mile. I just don't think the players even have confidence in Kyle's chances of taking us all the way.
Surprised I haven't seen the we've should have kept Kelly posts by the trolls

I understand what your saying however the offense scored enough in most cases just could not adjust in the 4th Qtr.

The D was like Swiss cheese in the 2nd half all year.

Against Minn, KC, Green Bay and Buffalo they whole team sucked so it's hard to fault just one side. Let's just say it's a s**t show all the way around.

We already know Kyle's coming back next year so moot point.
4th quarter is death quarter for Kyle.
