49ers Head Coach Kyle Shanahan Thread

Yes, an NFL head coach has a substantial impact on the team's performance. The head coach is responsible for developing the game plan, making strategic decisions during games, and managing player personnel. Their leadership style and ability to motivate players can also significantly influence team morale and cohesion, which are critical for overall performance.

If that's a response, you can see that you asked a leading question. That's why the response starts with 'yes'.

You'll get better with more practice.
Buckle Up, it's going to be a long off season.

Lol, no doubt.
Kyle Shanahan's record with the San Francisco 49ers when trailing in the 4th quarter has been notably poor. Here's a breakdown based on available information:

  • When his team is trailing by 3 or more points entering the 4th quarter, Shanahan's record is 1-31.

  • When his team is trailing by 8 or more points entering the 4th quarter, his record is 0-37.

These statistics highlight a consistent challenge for Shanahan's teams when it comes to mounting comebacks in the final quarter of games.
So many broken parts, so little stickytape.
What is the 49ers +/- this year in the fourth quarter?

The San Francisco 49ers have had a negative scoring margin in the fourth quarter this season. According to posts on X, they have been outscored by a margin of -74 in the fourth quarter, making them dead last in the NFL for the 4th quarter point differential for this year. Additionally, it was noted that this season's 4th quarter performance was among the worst in terms of point differential during Kyle Shanahan's tenure, with the team being outscored 21-0 in one particular game's fourth quarter
Are WE having fun yet?

That's an amazing fade out statistic for a season. -74 points. Thank God that "X" is keeping the 49ers accountable.

And Shanahan gets absolutely no blame for anything. Between that and 1-31 coming behind from 3(THREE!!!) point down in the fourth it's mind boggling that these guys just don't even care.

And yeah am I maybe a little too down on a guy that has gotten us to 2 Superbowls and had us 10 points up before the team choked both times? Yeah, but without 8-9 probowlers, his teams struggle. This is undebatable. With that said due to those 2 Superbowls he does deserve another chance to get the team healthy and improve the talent. I may give him most of the blame around here but it's most definitely not just him at all. Revamp the DL, get some OL help, draft Jeanty(lol I know you guys'll love that one) and most of all get healthy. Our schedule is cake next year so anything outside of a deep playoff run should be viewed as a failure.

Seems to me Detroit has just about as many players on IR, starting with some guy named Hutchinson. They're doing pretty good.

Will Somebody please tell me One above average head coaching talent our head coach has beyond play design. If you can't, and you want to continue with him, you Want to wallow.

Well, if we had a winning season, and we were in the play offs..with something to look forward to....

or had won a Superbowl in the last 30 years,

or hadn't gone from a season of 12-5 and playoff wins and a heart breaking Superbowl loss to a season of 6-11.

or didn't have a huge number of star players who are injured and may not come back as good next year as before.

or hadn't sacked half our coaching team.

or didn't have to pay $60 million to a quarterback we still aren't sure about.

or had a fluid salary cap.

or had some stability in the franchise.

We just mightn't have anything to complain about.
