or didn't have a huge number of star players who are injured and may not come back as good next year as before.
or hadn't sacked half our coaching team.
or didn't have to pay $60 million to a quarterback we still aren't sure about.
or had a fluid salary cap.
or had some stability in the franchise.
We just mightn't have anything to complain about.
Well, you have certainly found a number of things to moan about. You are pushing it with some of them, though.
Yeah, it hasn't been a good season. There is little point in continuing to repeat this one. We are where we are.
Injuries? Yes, the bug has bitten deep and this is largely why the season has been so dismal. The injured players may not come back as good next year? Who knows? Maybe they will. Let's wait and see.
"we have just sacked half our coaching team"? This one is stupid. Who is moaning that we have just sacked a coach and told another that he won't get his job back but may be repositioned? The zone, for the most part, has been calling for Schneider's head for some time and now he has gone you put the firing forward on your list of things to moan about. Sorensen wasn't sacked but most of the zone wanted him out as DC and now he is. And that is also on your list of things to moan about. One sacking and one repositioning is hardly "half of the coaching team" or anywhere near it.
We don't have to pay 60m to our qb. We have him for another year then we can let him walk if we want. Fairly sure that would then end up being another entry on your list of things to moan about, in due course. I doubt we will give him 60m anyway, but there you are. Another pointless moan. You invent a possible salary then complain about it. Hey, Paraag wants to reassure you that you won't have to pay it. Quarterbacks are expensive. Bite on it.
A fluid salary cap? We have plenty of cap space, don't see this as an issue. According to OTC we are 8th on the list of overall cap room right now.
Stability in the franchise? Again, what are you talking about? There is no instability at any of the key positions, owner, GM, HC, President. We aren't looking to move the franchise. So what is the problem?
So, things to moan about. We are overdue a Lombardi. That was a s**te season and the number of injuries remains a concern.
